Silver Convention - Fly Robin Fly (Austrian TV, 1976)

Die Gruppe "Silver Convention" wurde in München vom Produzenten Michael Kunze gegründet. Komponist war der damalige Studiopianist Sylvester Levay, dessen Spitzname „Silver“ der Gruppe den Namen gab. Der Sound von Silver Convention war der des sogenannten Munich Sound, einer Stilrichtung der Disco-Musik der 1970er. Nachdem für den ersten Hit Studiosängerinn enangagiert worden waren, mussten dann reale Persönlichkeiten gefunden werden, nämlich Linda G. Thompson (Ex-The Les Humphries Singers), Penny McLean sowie Ramona Wulf.
Spotlight war eine Musiksendung für die Jugend, die zwischen 1968 bis 1978 vom österreichischen Rundfunk (ORF) ausgestrahlt wurde. Sie war das Pendant zu Beat Club oder Musikladen in Deutschland.

Странно, но из огромного количества западных исполнителей популярной музыки, советская фирма грамзаписи Мелодия, почему-то, выбрала именно эту и выпустила их пластинку большим тиражом. Поэтому в СССР Silver Convention во второй половине 1970-х были очень популярны (других пластинок с европейской музыкой в легальной продаже особо-то и не было). Кстати, такие "скрипочки" в диско-композициях называются "мюнхенским звучанием".
