2 years ago I saw him live. Just one man on stage, in front of one microphone, with 3,000 people in the audience. He began the whole show with this gentle and somber tune, and within 10 seconds all 3,000 of us were more captivated and transported than I've ever experienced. A master of subtlety and storytelling.

Wow! I think this may be the meaning of serendipity. I’ve been searching for a different version of Silver Dagger altogether for the past 2 hours, it’s taking so long because I keep finding little jewels like this. Wonderful! Good wishes, take care! ✌️

Hi, I'm from Mexico, 2 years ago I had no idea what bluegrass was. But everything changed when I heard all ahore of punch Brothers, little by little my curiosity grew and I investigated more thoroughly what this whole unknown world was about. And I love it. Thanks Mr Thile.

He was called by T-Bone Burnett a once-in-a-century musician, like a Louis Armstrong.

I've had this stuck in my head since I heard it on the broadcast. Been walking around all week singing it to myself. This is a beautiful performance.

I already feel this tune empowering me for the next week at least. How can you resist it? Only by tying yourself to a mast with earplugs:):):)

Great cover, Chris! On par with the fleet foxes rarities version. The mandolin pairs fantastically with the delicate content and melody.
