Nice to see SDC how I remember it. We always visited Roscoe at the mill and enjoyed his bread. I miss the crafts, music and the people. I don't care for what SDC has become, but my kids do.

Thank you for sharing. My wife and i married May 1992 and honeymooned in Branson, including 2 days at SDC. This video is pretty much a honeymoon memories video for us.

Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this! Believe it or not your father is who taught me the art of scrimshaw! I only knew him for a short time but he made an indelible impression on my entire life. I am 51 years old now and I still scrimshand! God bless you and your family. (I was known as "Bluey" when I did Scrimshaw at Silver Dollar City in the late 1990s.)

I thought you might like to see this short clip of this (longer) video for a little blast from my past. It will start right at the part you should watch. A friend I hadn't heard from in years sent to to me. It's a piece of scrimshaw I did 13 or 14 years ago for Steve Sansweet, who has the Guinness World Record for the largest Star Wars collection. He used to work for George Lucas and Lucas Film. I connected with him when I was in the 501st Legion (the Star Wars costuming group.)
