I strip the silver off with my acid bath them scrap the copper and brass that's left. Usually make a few bucks off the copper or brass and hoard the silver in my silver cell til I have enough for a smelt

Really impressive. It's sad silver is so cheap but I believe it will increase in the years to come.

Yes, and I'm sorry that silver has fallen so low. I think it will jump in the future, but I do not think it will be a drastic jump. It's because I love this metal so much.Thanx Mike :)

The "slag" is metallic silver, washing the slag with HCl will put base metals in solution. The silver will become a solution of silver nitrate, then cement silver (met) from the lower reactive metals in digestion.

I have access to silver paste residue used for electronics. Use use about 1.5 of paste about once a week and I started to reserve my excess before it goes into a landfill. Would I have to go through this process to recover the silver or can I just melt the residue off with a torch?

Great stuff! That silver Oxide sure is pretty! Those water jugs are holding up nicely... So after HCL bath we are left with Nickel Chloride am I right? Great video as always... Did we at least break even here? Thank you as always :)

Not only nickel but other metals such as tin and lead were removed with hcl.That these five-liter balloons of distilled water are very helpful and keep good acids without changing.

That seemed like a lot of time, work and risk (very dangerous chemicals) for a piece of silver worth ~$12. Very interesting process, however.

since you already are processing chips for the gold bonding wires you should have the silica dies as a waste product. so my thought was if you collected say 5 to 10 kilos of them it might be worth trying to extract the rare earths used to dope the dies scandium is worth over 270 dollars a gram so at more than 10 times the value of gold for instance so it might be worth doing.
@chosen1one9303 жыл бұрын
Do somd research, scandium is extremely hard to refine and separate from other metals. It wasnt used that widely in silicon because of the price, your likely to find it in military, aviation or most likely aerospace due to the density. Even with a high price just isnt worth the trouble unless you can scale down and create a perfect elctrowinning setup. Even if you had a large amount say 100 pounds the yield would be much lower than thought from cpus

Euro Recycling It's the same price for me her. It's just one way to get silver back, there are others that are more economical. But acids cost me only 50 euro cents so I'm twenty times bigger earning than the cost money for this proces!

All the tin drops with the sludg Iead nitrat drops like silver as lead chlorade This silver peace is not pure it has lead and.tin The best way is to use h2so4+hno3
@999DusanGoldrecovery6 жыл бұрын
Of course it's not clear, but it's at least 925 clean. Hydrochloric acid has eliminated most of the foreign metals so silver is close to high purity. The Sulfaric and Nitric is more variant, I admire it, I just wanted to show how I sometimes I do work. I want to show people a lot of different ways to work, so let them decide which one is best for them. Soon I will do a video with this acid combination.
