Silverado 2008 CanBus No Start DIC Wacked out RCDLR Module Issues

excellent! I can personally appreciate the level of progressive troubleshooting your performed here to find the root cause (I am avionics tech, airbus ) . Just bought a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 (crazy LOW miles...and in excellent shape). Having similar faults: intermittent keyless lock locks not working, tpms not communicating, tpms not able to relearn even with new tpms sensors in each wheel ! I'll be looking at the RCDLR Module internally for corrosion!!! I'll also be doing a repair mod to the 3rd light and seal it, just out of precaution..(inspecting for any water ingress issues). I would prefer to just delete the entire tpms system out of the vehicle, but apparently if you remove the RCDLR Module or remove the fuse, you lose the keyless remote. As an avionics tech, it's one of my biggest complaints about vehicle system design. I understand why they do this to save money, but it does create single point failures that affects a wide range of functions. Question: What keyless lock and security system did you use and does it completely bypass the RCDLR Module with it's own receiver and canbus input?

thank you !!! bro I been trying to figure out WTF!!! lol has been wrong with key fobs not working /and the same service tire pressure monitor system!! and your video is the only one I could find. I'm going to go thru my truck in morning and hope I have the same results. (I have learned a lot of Chevy trucks leak in the back somewhere either windowseaks 3rd break light the air vents for the cab. it's crazy but water getting into electrical is always bad news. water getting inside a vehicle is always bad!! damn it Chevy!! thanks again 👍

Wind storm threw my (former) bed cover up and smashed my 3rd brake light. Beginning of this year all my tire pressure sensors went out and the shop wants +$300 to install new ones. I'm going to check that black box and order a new 3rd brake light with silicon and see if it helps.

The black box does control the TPMS sensors.

Any issues with this black box will reveal itself in all kinds of weird issues. It is directly connected to the CanBus which controls start and stop of the vehicle.

I think i have the same issue with my 2013 extended cab. Took it to the dealer and they said i might need to reprogram the bcm or pdm and they charge between 350 to 400 to reprogram. I also have the Joyeing android stereo lol.

Simply disconnect the module and see if your problems go away

I replaced the rcdlr on a 2012 Tahoe still nothing do I need to program the module ?

If you are having the issues described, then there is something on your canbus messing things up. This is one module of many.

Yes new rcdlr needs to be programmed to work along with your key fobs
