@immortalproductions1 It was masterpiece like all the rest of their material. What you call the "golden years" were the years they had the most fans. However, you can't judge a band by how many fans they have. That's like following sheep into the mainstream. I'm glad they went Indie/Underground. They have more creative freedom and don't have to write music the industry tells them to. I look forward to when they reunite and finish album #6. You don't have to be there for the launch.

I'll admit, I like metal, and I like Maiden, but Silverchair will always be my all-time favourite band. You don't have to like them. @cliftonite187 Dude go and listen to Diorama...the riffs, melodies, and vocal harmonies that Daniel Johns wrote for that album are beyond amazing. iron maiden are fantastic in their own right, but to me they're a band that have kept the same set formula since year zero, all the songs on all the albums sound the same....and their entire back catalogue is one giant album because it all sounds the same. The differences in ALL Silverchair records proves that daniel is so unbelievably talented.

Silverchair could have been like Led Zeppelin if they had a more creative Drummer but SilverChair is still one of the all time Greatest Rock band's ever. Iron Maiden is also one of my all-time favorite Metal Band's.

I think it's pretty dumb of him to slate a band that have sold probably 100 million more records than his band... I'm not saying Iron Maiden are better than Silverchair, but lets face it, I don't think Silver chair will sell as much as Iron Maiden, have as big international fan base, or ever play a headline stadium show as big as Iron Maiden do... I think he was lucky at the amount of people that actually went to see his band over Iron Maiden actually.

Have you actually listened to all there albums.only Nirvana and silverchair have in common is the lead singer is blonde. Their first album sounded more like pearl jam and the second had more of a soundgarden vibe. Anything from neon ballroom onwards shows how talented they were
