During the winter, we often put out bird feeders on our oak tree and it often attracts Silvereyes. Sometimes there can be as many as twenty birds at the bird feeder at one time!

At the start he's doing something similar to Dog's panting. Cooling himself down by airing out the undersides of his wings and body.

@@TonyPalmer Thanks Tony, I had wondered hearing the starling later in the track. I had read they mimic the shining cuckoo, but not the end part which sounds quite similar thanks

Yes they have quite a repertoire of sounds , I have heard them making that downward one quite often .. quite a soothing sound .

I found one in my garage but it has a bald head, he seems pretty tame and let’s me hold him for a couple seconds before flying away, what should I do?

I think I would set it free , I found one in my house last week and I was able to pick it up but it quickly flew off when I released it .

@@stonedape8437 many areas have bird rescue organizations . If you can find one in your area I would suggest that you give them a call and see what they suggest.
