A five hour cruise aboard Silver Moon’s flagship "Silver Moon" a sixty two foot luxury catamaran. We started our day from the Shallow Draft port in Bridgetown, our first stop was made in Carlisle Bay on the South-Western side of Barbados, we were handed our snorkelling gear and made our way into the crystal-clear waters where we saw turtles, a spotted ray and two shipwrecks at a depth of about twenty five to thirty five feet, a crew member accompanied us with a life ring and pointed out all points of interest. The two wrecks (Bajan Queen and the Berwyn) were encrusted with an array of different corals, sea fans, sponges and many different species of fish.
We then raised the sails and sailed North along the West Coast of the island and after about an hour set anchor in a secluded bay. Whilst there, we enjoyed snorkeling on reefs and a swim to the beach. After about half an hour the crew had prepared our lunch consisting of two salads, roasted potatoes, a rice dish, baked chicken and shrimp as well as vegan prepared dishes for the vegetarians among us.
The crew were amazing, very friendly and attentive, the premium bar was open all day and the Canapés were served throughout the duration of the cruise. After weighing anchor, we ended our day with a leisurely sail back to our starting point where the Silver Moon staff assisted us with our disembarkment.
