Robert Armstrong always put in a good performance. I wasn't that aware of him until the 1960's, when I was a young adult. But he could do just about anything. The only movie he appeared in that I didn't care for was 'King Kong', despite the reviews it got in the c. 1950 era.

While best known for "King Kong", Armstrong made nearly 200 movie and television appearances between 1919 and 1964. Definition of the working actor, mostly in supporting roles, but with a few memorable leads as well. Lots of "B" movies, and willing to work at Poverty Row studios like Monogram.

Had to laugh when the guy was being taken to the closet, supposedly knocked out, was partially walking.

I've been around people when they've been knocked unconscious, and there's no telling how they'll respond moments later. I saw one man suddenly wake up and then get on his feet without help.
