Mary Corbet and Cutesy Crafts are two channels that have videos explaining individual stitches in a very slow, detailed, easy to follow manner. Basic stitches to learn that are used all the time in embroidery: backstitch, stem stitch, split stitch, satin stitch, french knot. There are more advanced stitches out there, but as long as you can do those you can do the majority of projects. Some stitches that are used often in making flowers: Woven wheels, granitos, lazy daisy (aka chain stitch), cast on stitch, bullion knot, fishbone. Also remember that you can split your embroidery floss or even double up to use less or more thread. Good luck!

Your embroidery is so beautiful and whimsical. This is the kind of embroidery I love, and would love to try my hand at one day when my wrists heal. I can’t crochet right now! The stitch you used for the strawberry is ingenious and I love how clearly you explain everything...in your language and English subtitles. Providing so many examples is not only helpful, it’s very relaxing.

I literally just started embroidering 2 hours ago because I want to make custom embroidered tote bags for my friends (making a mixed version of your strawberry flower and one of Diana Vingert's free design) and GOSH you make it seem so easy but it's actually really hard that my wrist is *throbbing* right now (especially since I have an illness that makes my limbs and joints hurt). The corded detached stitch is actually quite simple and you gave clear instructions but when you're using single-colored thread, the stitches just kinda blend in together and it's almost impossible (for me) to discern which loop belongs to which row. You must be an embroidery goddess or something to be able to do this without throwing your hoop across the room 😂 In all seriousness, thank you so much for the video! It's very helpful even though I'm not very good at this. I won't give up halfway though!! I'll make those bags even if it takes me a long time!!
