everything wrong with YG Treasure Box | Choi Hyunsuk's journey

I'm sure YG is just playing and his goal is probably to make HYUNSUK and SEUNGHUN work harder and not get full of themselves BUT i can't stand watching them cry and feel so bad about themselves. The title is sort of click bate but one day i probably will make a true "everything wrong with YG treasure box" talking about all the trainees. I know its hard for some people to support the show because they don't want to get too attached to trainees who might not debut but i encourage you to support them because knowing YG, low ratings will hurt the boys even more...

This just shows the difference between naturally born talented people with their respective gifts and just some ordinary man. Age doesn’t matter to those who are gifted. YG praises those people becuz he recognizes their ability as they can bring massive fortune to him and his company. But he was feeling meh and hesitant to entrust everything to Hyunsuk just because he’s a normal kid who has very faint potential. Instead he trash talked him, drag him down and made him feel so little in a sense to disgard Hyunsuk as long as he could; but at the same time, unconditionally trained him to work harder so that he could be somewhat useful to him in the future, afterall, he’s a YG trainee. Hyunsukie proved him wrong by training so hard in every aspect; even by enduring everything YG said to him as a mean to train his emotional states and to get mentally stable. Back then he might’ve only thought them as he flaws (that he wasn’t good enough) whenever YG trash talk him. But in the end, he got so matured that he was able to accept the reality (there’s an invisible hierarchy that there are always people who are better than you) by acknowledging his defeat to the other rookie boy. He was happy and smiling as he walked off stage and went back to trainee life as he gave all his best and knew deep down that there are people who love him. So the incapabilities he once thought were his flaws was nothing but an inferior human complex towards bias favoritism and he now regards them as his graces (stepping stone for greater accomplishment) after realizing that everybody is different and there’s an individuality and personality to every single beings. It’s foolish to compare who’s better or what not. Even though it is true that people can be extremely good at something, this doesn’t mean they can be excel at every single thing in life. We all have our own colors and are exceptional at what we do best. But if you wanna achieve something you’re passionate about but out of your league, you simply go out of your comfort zone, experience things and try your hardest and it will pay off at the end. Bottom line is that you just gotta work on yourself, accept who you are and focus on what you wanna be; not who or what you’re trying to become.

@@heizeking3557 Gdragon have told once that yg used to make him write songs everyday and while bigbang used to practice he used to monitor them through CCTV cam to make sure if they are being lazy. GD used to feel that the training was so cruel for him. He felt like he is not getting enough appreciation. But he himself told that after he got debut he understood the value of that harsh training. That helped him to fight against the harsh comments and criticisms. And another thing yg artists get hate even if they breath. Yg not only train their artist to be top tiers but also train them to face a cruel and evil industry out there.

But if you wanna achieve something you’re passionate about but out of your league, you simply go out of your comfort zone, experience things and try your hardest and it will pay off at the end. Bottom line is that you just gotta work on yourself, accept who you are and focus on what you wanna be; not who or what you’re trying to become. (P.S. Calling Hyunsuk an ordinary man, by no means it’s an offense. I only did it becuz he was somewhat ordinary in terms of musicality. But he’s for sure excel and talented at other things like fashion sense, design, composing, dancing etc,. As you know, gifts are born with you but talents can be trained to achieve, we can now regard his musicality as one of his many talents.)

Byungoon actually said at the first or second ep. that YG like Hyunsuk a lot so he most likely will debut. what YG did is for his own good. Hyunsuk is good and an all arrounder but YG needs a strong leader. No matter how talented you are if you are not strong enough to handle failures and discouragements then you dont fit to be a leader. Hyunsuk is a YG leader this position is not easy to bare. Even when YG favors a member if they are leader he’s still harsh on them. In win/ mix and match everyone knew YG favored B.I but even still he rarely complemented him and was extremely harsh on him. It’s not even just YG but even the trainers are extremely harsh on leaders. Hyunsuk never deserved it but at the end of the day YG did it to make him a better leader. A humble leader that knows when to bite the bullet. Personally what I didn’t agree with is him putting Hyunsuk, Lee Byunggon or Yedam through another survival program. I wish he would have done what he did with IKON when he made B.I, Jinhwan, and Bobby already members and then filled in the rest. He was still hard on them but at least they knew they had spots regardless.

Maybe YG planned it all, that he will debute him but didnt point out his strength but his weakness instead to keep him on the ground, the more struggle he face the more sweet he will taste the success, and the more he will appreciate what he will become after experiencing the storm of his training days. No leader of YGE debuted received sweet talk by YG and he hardly compliment them and talk more harsh on them than the other member. Anyway, I'm so happy with hyunsuk finally tasting the 1st step on his success, there will be more harsh things comming to them atleast he wasn't pampered by YG. this appeared on my youtube feed randomly.. it was a pain to watch and remember how my heart broke for him so many times. hyunsuk was one of my faves since mixnine days and I'm so glad he finally debut in Treasure now. he has been through so much. as grateful as I am for the boys that did make it to Treasure, I wish they did not have to go through the shit show that was Treasure Box. I get it, YG wants to debut the best and most deserving but it didn't need to be mental and emotional torture. there's a fine line between being tough an being mean. it's so obvious who YG's faves are, why did he have to make them go through a survival show if he's gonna break the rules and do whatever he wants anyway? I can not believe this. THIS MADE MY BLOOD BOIL SOOOO MUCH that I have a headache now. I can't believe what he has gone through. Even though people say this is ''tough love'' or ''ways to succeed'', this was still too harsh. It wouldn't kill YG to formulate the feedback different into critical yet motivating feedback. Not even a compliment was there. The one I dislike the most is when he made Hyunsuk stand in front of the child and hear him say ''I am the best'' and then say that the kid is better than him. U know what from my understanding i collected why YG be so hard on that "only one" person . As an iKONIC i have saw iKON's journey.....as YG is the best at his job after seeing the trainees capability after examining them few times he might got that gut feeling that yes this is the "person" he has that thing in him what YG usually searches,to give them big responsibility.... like how he did to B.I n now here HYUNSUK he had already saw the power they hold n how they must be treated in a way for the best he purposely give them bad feedbacks again n again so that "that trainee" shouldn't take his position for granted or even loose 1% of passion they have to debut n they work even more harder the next time.He already set that position for the "person" of giving him the' leader" position so he act a bit more hard towards them . I'm really not for the culture of 'tough love.' it's manipulative, love shouldn't be earned. it doesn't matter what the intentions were, doesn't matter of YG is well-meaning; i'm sure he is. but this whole tradition of basically verbally abusing kids in hopes of making them great just feeds into toxic hustle culture and the meritocratic lie. it's not healthy, and good on hyunsuk for being resilient but grown ass adults doing this to kids and young adults all the time for the end result of capitalism just aint it. hyunsuk has broken that cycle and turns out to be a soft and sensitive leader THANK GOODNESS, the boy has a heart of gold, but i've seen firsthand how this kind of conditioning creates endless cycles and systems of self-hatred that leads to lasting damage. all these bitter senior idols in the industry ratting on younger idols about how 'good they have it' as if those kids had any control over the circumstances. it's easier to blame the new kids than it is to dismantle the broken systems. it's gotten better these days and ppl are more sensitive, and positive reinforcement and empowerment works wonders too. just saying.

YG is human trash :) by this point he should have already learned that for a lot of people, even the most motivated ones, humiliation does NOT work as a motivating factor. Bringing down your trainess won't make them work harder. If only he didn't talk in such condescending, mean way I-. What does he gain from this?
