Avoiding the most basic mistakes: 1) start with general shapes 2) use guidelines 3) make your sketch as light as possible 4) always use a reference 5) Use multiple pencils

Thank you:) actually I do not like to make these lists as people might not really fully get the meaning of these points without the explanation, it loses the context. But I really appreciate the effort!:)

@@Drawings.with.anesu_ I do agree, it is great to try more mediums, just please be aware that using grids might not teach you to draw the proportions by yourself :)

You are the best pencil artist and teacher anyone could find. I was going to watch today and not sketch but I had my sketchbook beside me and when my eye saw your first lines, I had to at least do those. Next thing I knew I had another sketched face. I have quite a collection of them now. Other people I try to learn from have a more juvenile and less realistic approach. I like your art and I know I’m learning from the best. Thank you for your teaching!!

@BearAndBunny06054 жыл бұрын
@@silviemahdal3570 yes ma'am it is. When I was a kid growing up, drawing or painting was the escape. It was one of the very few things that I had control over and it had no judgements. Like, for example, if I drew a tree, it's not going to criticize or get upset with me on how I presented it. It made me feel better about it. Or if I had a bad day in school and I drew something but didn't like how it looked, I could go back in to change it's appearance and feel good with how it turned out. So yes creativity is therapy and it's CHEAPER! 🎨🖌️👩🎨🖼️

I'm not very good at drawing but the one thing i noticed since i started is that what makes a lot of great artists work look so good is subtlety. I myself try way too hard to emphasise certain aspects of a drawing and always end up doing too much when really good artists only need a slight line or a slight change of shade to make all the difference. It's hard to notice when you're in the process of drawing and too close to the drawing to see it's effect and much easier to see when it's all finished and you can stand back and notice the important details.
