Silvio Inzucchi, MD: Implications of Initial EGFR Response to Empagliflozin

Recently diagnoised with low grade proteinuria with intact renal function. Proteinuria is found 440 mg / day on 24 hours analysis. Kept on SGLT 2 , GLP 1, DPP 4, with combination drug for BP. Is it OK to go for these medication to protect renal function.

I am 67 years old and have type 2 diabetes after I was on prednisone for a year. That was 10 years ago. I'm on metformin and gliclazide now. Is empagliflozin a better treatment for type 2?
