The Rock Island Railroad facility in Silvis, IL was recently purchased by the Railroading Heritage of Midwest America and National Railway Equipment is downsizing operations as the lease will end for them in a few years. The Drews Trains Team decided it might be a good idea to go drone the property and check out some of the locomotives sitting out! Enjoy!

I have noticed that yellow blue freightbonnet @1:44 is former ATSF SD40-2 would awesome preserving & restoration it's new home at southern california railway museum from mount vernon illinois ex national railway equipment factory once home of rock island mount vernon yard.

A lot of those locomotives look like must have had a pretty poor paint job. Isn’t UP 3985 supposed to be sent here from Cheyenne for steam renovation?
