move the song files somewhere onto your computer where they wont move at all (if they do itunes wont play them) go into itunes, press ctrl+O which will open a file browser, navigate to the folder with your music in it and select all the songs you want to add with shift+click, then click open, now they should be in your library and you can sync them to your ipod by clicking on the icon for it, going to the music tab, and clicking "sync music", "entire music library" then click sync at the bottom.
