Nice I have a similar set up but couldn't get used to the curved ultra wide monitor and ended up replacing it with a 43 in Auros 4k monitor instead ,I really like my Logitech g pro and 11 nm is all I'll ever need .I went for the GT Omega Prime cockpit myself but that 's a very nice rig you have there too ,great cable management

Almost exactly the same as my rig mate. The only difference is I run a fanatec DD2 with a converter for my Cube Controls GT Zero wheel. I have added some DIY base shakers under my Trak Racer seat (bolted to the underside), a wind simulator and some rumble motors for the Huesys. The G9 is an awesome monitor which I'm so glad I went for 👍

Sounds like a good set up! on my previous rig I'd also had the wind sim and rumble motors but for some reason just haven't taken the time to do those bits again.. I've been looking at swapping out the G9 for triples but just can't justify the headache of setting it all up - happy racing!

@@TechRacerTV I went down the triples path myself mate, I bought a new monitor stand which ment I had to get rid of my top mounted monitor but I thought it's gonna be worth the sacrifice, plus the triple 27"lg 1440p monitors and packed away the G9 ready for Facebook sales. I set it all up and decided I'd sort out the complete mess of cables that come with triples after testing out the new triples, I like to keep everything really neat and tidy in the rig with great cable management but I thought well its another sacrifice worth taking. I hated the triples 🤣. The drop down to 1440p from 4k was a massive step down, beautiful graphics literally turned to ps3 visuals 🤦. My framerate tanked even on the lower res due to the 3 screens and I'm running an i9 9900k with a 3080ti! I had to adjust iracing and ACC down to get things upto 90fps again and man was it ugly. The only benefit the triples gave were being able to see out of my right window so I hastily took the monitors down, boxed everything up and put the G9 back with the top monitor and sent it all back to Amazon 🤣. I'm back to awesome 4k visuals and a beautiful rig. I think il just wait for VR to be more user friendly. Just my two scents 😃

@@chrisperry5244 Can't knock that for some feedback! after spending nearly all day researching I've ended up at a similar answer myself. The hassle and drama that triples bring just cant be worth it? I'm going to grab myself an overhead monitor in the coming weeks to use for content creation then I'll just have to try figure out some better web camera/POV/FOV angles for the G9! appreciate your time to go into your experience, was very helpful 😄

@@chrisperry5244 4k with the g9? Isnt it 5120 x 1440? Thats the same as 2x 27" 1440p side by side so the ppi is the same as a 27" 1440p screen. But i my self would choose a 32:9 screen over tripples too, just to many Problems that come with 3 screens and a lot of games don't support more then 1 screen. Im racing mostly in VR and have a 21:9 34" 1440p screen mounted, not sure if a 32:9 is worth it... maybe later down the line.

@themadnes5413 it doesn't quite work like that, I know what your saying as the 49 screen size is exactly the same as two 27" monitors together but the picture quality is way better than 1440p, it's not quite 4k but with a 109ppi and 5120x1440 res it sits a lot closer to 4k than my 1440p monitor ever did, jaggies are a thing of the past! I'm still really happy with it and it's a much better solution than cumbersome triples in my opinion and will do until VR really gets it's shit together

Nice rig! Mine is similar. I would recommend the SRS haptic seat pad. Recently got it and it’s an awesome addition even with a buttkicker. I race in VR.

I also race and fly in VR, but for the price of this setup I was able to get a 3dof motion system with a single monitor and a VR headset, buttkicker, 8NM wheelbase, a racing display and 2 led flags, pedals, dual joysticks and flight pedals with a touch screen monitor with a dual encoder called the knobster and the whole computer I guess I just have a crappy 12700k and a 3070ti in there though but It was all just under 5000 GPB.

Great rig brother! I have been building mine for quite some time now (originally built about 6 months ago, but have added things over time). I wanted to ask you specifically about the bass shakers, because I cannot wrap my head around this. I currently have a Buttkicker Gamer Pro - and while initially it was fine, for some reason it rattles like crazy now, and it's as old as the rig (only 6 months). It's mounted under the seat, but not directly to the seat. I have the Advanced Sim Racing 4 cockpit, (ASR4) and it's amazing, but their Buttkicker mount is square, and awful. So, I took a T nut, bolt and a socket, and mounted that directly to one of the aluminum rails under my seat. While it did make it better, at slightly higher volumes (and I mean, 20-25 - and it goes to 50) it rattles so loud that it completely takes me out of the experience. Many people say you should mount it direct to the seat - I have a Sparco R333 and because it's a real race seat I don't want to modify it by drilling/cutting etc. So... I'm not sure if these bass shakers that you have would be better, and if so, I'd like to know the exact model you're using. I've heard many people praise the Dayton audio shakers, and many more people crying just like me about how badly the Buttkicker rattles. Worst part is it was $500. :( Thanks brother, happy racing :)

Nice rig! I have also G9 but having an issue with the screen which goes black for couple of seconds during gaming. Have you had such an issue? Theres lots of talks around web about this issue but no clear solution.

I've had two G9s and can't say we've ever experienced this! Sounds simple and I am sure you've already tried it, but update any drivers and maybe try new display cables? Monitor firmware up to date?

I was thinking about positioning my sim rig the same place you have yours. I haven’t bought any of the sim racing gear yet. Are they wires long enough to reach your pc from factory or did you buy longer cables? This was my worry and I was thinking I had to have my rig to the right of my pc. I don’t want to build a separate pc just for sin reading 😂. This sim hobby is very expensive already.

We've changed the rig a lot since this video and it now runs its own PC Beforehand yes we used long cables to reach our desk, from memory they were between 5/7 meters!

The trak racer mount is made of a few parts, the main bracket that you can see we've used and then also the extension arms (x piece) that's used for larger vesa mounts such as TVs etc!

Roughly 55cm from eye to screen.. I'd admit depending what you are driving (on race room anyway) sometimes getting the right FOV using the G9 can be a bit tricky! But overall, ease of use in every other aspect this setups worked well for me. Cheers!

I'm planning to get simmagic alpha ultimate 23nm base with simmagic p2000 pedals ( 200kg load cell varient), vnm shifter & handbrake, simmagic gt1 wheel. I'm looking for some other drifting style wheels too. Cockpit is vrh1 pro.

@@TechRacerTV Thanks brother I'm little confused about monitor. I'm more inclined towards single screen I guess 43" - 48" 4k 120hz 1ms would be good for graphics. But I'm not sure as I've not experienced it before. I'd appreciate your opinion on that. here in india stuff is lil more expansive because of taxes. The configuration i mentioned will cost around 5k-6k usd without monitor. I've g29 already but that feels so unrealistic, i rarely use it. That's why I'm planning for upgrade.

@@alphatribe01 Monitors is always a tough one, my honest opinion is its personal preference. A 49'' monitor such as a Samsung G9 is fantastic, works straight out the box and offers a great field of view - however is quite pricey Triple monitors can be a pain to setup the bezel alignment both on your rig and in game settings, but do of course offer great field of view! prices will vary depending on spec/size etc... VR is worth considering too! not something I have tried myself, but provides unmatched immersion!

I would recommend the GT seat yes! I cant say I've done overly long sessions but for 3+ hours I was still comfy.. Lumbar support is good, the low back section would benefit from a little more padding if anything but that's my only criticism.

I have been very disappointed with Track Racer. You never know what standard of extrusion (European/US/China are all different even for something called 80/20), supplied lock-nuts are terrible (assuming they remember to put them in the box), and some components do not take into account weight (triple add-on). The keyboard holder uses an articulation which wears, droops, and eventual fails (about two months of use). I will not be buying any more from them.

Damn that's a shame to hear you've been having so much trouble! I've had two Trak Racer setups now and both have been perfect. In reference to the keyboard tray, did you install the small silver 'wedge nuts' into the backet? take a look at the 4th photo, just under the drop in nut, is a small insert where the wedge nuts go. Drilled a hole through the seat base and then nut/bolted it to the bottom of the seat. Then another on the pedal plate, nut and bolted through some of the existing cut outs
