EDIT - Sim passed away on the morning of December 21, 2018... we still are not sure what was the cause of it, but it was very sudden. We were speculating that something might have been growing in his digestive tract. We don't know if it was related to this, but his operation was very close to this area. He showed absolutely no signs of pain until it was too late....
Sim, my baby boy, was such a tough soul, but his body couldn't keep up with it...
I am absolutely devastated and heartbroken. He was my best friend, the love of my life. He gave me so much happiness that no amount of Temptations or butt scratches could ever compare... and I'll be carrying it with me for the rest of my life. I miss him immensely.
For clarification, Sim lived way past his prognosis for the scary tumor that was in him. His vets were amazed by how completely normal he was acting, given the state he was close to being in. We'll never know what caused his passing, that was a horrid few hours.
But if your best friend is unfortunately going through the same thing, I would highly recommend the surgery. Sim had at most three months if we were to opt out of it, he nearly made two years after it.
I send my love to everyone whose going through this now, because I know just how heart-breaking it is.

One week after his surgery, ten years since he was born...
It's been both a comfort and a curse watching cats on youtube going through this type of ordeal.
I decided to document his recovery through a vlog as we go about the steps for cat parents whom are going through the same thing.
Here's to the strength of our little guys
But fuck cancer.
