The Rumbling and Under the Tree are both such beautiful songs that perfectly encapsulate the characters and motivations of Eren and Mikasa respectively. Now for the finale, all I pray for is that we get a third song to round it all off that focuses on Armin

As eren is sacrificing the world for his perception of freedom, this opening kind of says that mikasa will sacrifice everyone for eren. As freedom isnt the common theme here, the delusions portrayed by each of the characters are. That mikasa and eren will do the exact same thing for different goals, where eren will do it to save mikasa and the others, but mikasa will do it to save eren.

Most of what we hear from this ED is unique from Mikasa's perspective, but the brief inclusion of chaos/insanity from Eren's perspective matches what we heard in "The Rumbling" OP. Now if the whole thing was screaming from Eren's perspective, that wouldn't work, but that's not what we got. I'm expecting something somber and maybe slow for the last episode.

This song is not only amazing from a musical standpoint, but a lyrical one as well. The way the lyrics tie back in to attack on titan is very well done. But the lyrics themselves are basically a discussion between Mikasa and Eren, this song primarally being from Mikasa's perspective, and the Rumbling Eren's. And the way they tie in the Rumbling to this song with the way it's structured and the "If I lose it all" towards the end, this song is everything anyone could ask for in terms for a song tailored to this series. A true masterpiece, thank you SiM.
