The local administration for the Darjeeling hills and the Dooars area has made vaccination certificates or negative RT-PCR reports mandatory for visitors. The RT-PCR report should be no older than 48 hours when they arrive. You might be checked anytime on the road. We had to show our certificates during such checks and had to submit xerox copy of our certificates at Kolakham Homestay. Other homestays did not ask for it but it would be wise to keep few copies with you..
