Dear Saqib … I haven’t kept lions as pets and I don’t think I can do what you do, but I have been studying lion behaviour since I was 3 year old as they are one of my most favorite animals. I don’t think Snow was avoiding you when you introduced her to Simba. Diana is also not avoiding you now, contrary to how it seems. In light of everything I have learned in past 35 years, I think this is what is happening here:

 1. Simba’s aggression toward you at first - He’s acting territorial and protective over the new lioness. Since he was without human contact for months, he’s relying more on wild instincts. 2. Why Snow and now Diana avoid you - They sense Simba’s possessiveness and are mirroring his behavior to avoid conflict. They might also be unsure about their new social position. 3. Why Simba calmed down after a few days with Snow - Once he bonded with her and “claimed” her as part of his pride, he stopped seeing you as a threat. 4. Why he’s more persistent with Diana - Snow was dominant and set boundaries quickly. Diana is younger and resisting, so Simba keeps following her, trying to establish control. 5. What to expect next - If the pattern repeats, Simba will settle down with Diana soon and allow human interaction again. If she keeps resisting, tension might remain longer. Separating Diana and interacting with her alone was a bad move. Diana took a more sensible stance by avoiding you to protect herself and you. Your interacting with her to make Simba jealous, and then putting her back was an extremely wrong move, Simba may see you as a rival and become more aggressive toward you and other keepers. Diana, already resisting Simba, could get more stressed, act defensively, or even fight him. Simba might assert more dominance over her, pace aggressively, roar more, and develop trust issues with humans. If repeated, he may never settle with Diana and could become unpredictable. Forcing reactions will only escalate tension. Letting them bond naturally is the better approach. You cannot give any amount of love and affection to lions to make them act like humans. You will have to try and understand lion behavior. Such actions put their and your lives at risk. He’s following natural lion behavior in captivity, adjusting with each new introduction. Agreed sir I am an avid student of feline behavior and the symptoms being displayed are based on simple biochemistry. When a lioness is in eustress the male will try to defend her from all other males and any other intruder who comes into his territory. Mian Saqib also knows this but he is a content creator and by engaging in lengthy conversations he is just trying to get more audiences. Lions do not understand human language and also do not have emotional bonds with their spouses. This is evident from the way in which Snow accepted the new male when she was introduced to him.

Saqib Bhai, you did good by separating Diana and Simba. I think you should take Diana out and play with her and keep her in full control in front of Simba so he understands that you are in control and not him.
