I wish they would’ve added elevated train tracks over roads as an option because as it is right now, it just seems pointless for me as I’d have to redesign cities whos designs I really like. I wouldn’t mind if they charged like 10k simpletons for each elevated track cuz it would be super cool. Trains rn just seem like a waste of time

True, I was was hoping to get advice on how to use the train tracks with the city but I noticed you can't build them on the roads. It's sad cause the new transit system would be cool to use

We need a new region that we can build up from the start and actually build a city that accommodates trains. The way it is now, we've got to get rid of buildings and move things around. And the bridges should be in the 'landscape' file, so we can decide where to put them. Also the trains should carry payload like the plane and ships do. As is, it's unwelcomed and unusable.

First, you need to add a train station to your city, 1. Go to the “Services/Specializations” icon. (Looks like a Greek building on the right side of the display at the bottom) 2. Click the new “Mass Transit” icon. 3. Add the “Small Railway Station” to your city. Now you have access to the new “Railway Shop” but you will need to earn “Rail Simoleons” by completing passenger train runs to purchase items in the “Railway Shop.” 1. Click on the “Small Railway Station” you just added to your city. 2. Click the new “Railway Shop” icon. (Looks like a bag with a train on it on the right side of the display) 3. A pop up displays with the items you can purchase. The first item seems to display the Bolt, Vintage Lantern, Conductor Hat, and Pick. (Not sure of all of the offerings yet) The “Railway Shop” changes the offerings every 24 hours. I personally have just started to collect the rail simoleons waiting for more info on what the trains can do. They stated there is more to come. if my building requires one of the new items I am just requesting new building requirements. I think it is going to be like the objects required to unlock new areas to build.

I built a track between 2 stations. It was a chore. Had to move several building. 20+. Then once built, i sent hundreds of trains to gain absolutely nothing. The mass transit has completely ruined this game.

For people who don't have trains in their city, that's because SimCity is currently doing beta testing for the trains so it isn't being released to everyone.

I wish EA would re-design the layout UI. Giving us more options to put building into storage and place buildings. Right now its just pain in the ass to re-design my city. Imagine having to move hundreds of residential buildings to empty land one by one...

I just see a railway bridge Alone, I thought they had finally worked out a way to connect tram systems on different islands of Sunny isles (for eg.). But then I was quick to notice a different track structure on the railway bridge....I don't see any stns or Central stns 😢

After 3 or 4 years of playing the game daily, I have informed my team that I am quitting the game over the mass transit. It's only purpose is to turn fun into frustration. I have sent hundreds of trains for nothing. Buy a volt and watch it disappear. By train slots, rhen you can't use them. I'm over it. It's time to find a new game.
