tbh I feel like a lot of simmers get carried away "grinding" in the sims, and that's why the life's journey feels so easy. They get a bit too caught up in the goal completion side of the sims and forget about the open-endedness. your renaissance sim doesn't have to sit inside and paint all day; have them go out and meet some friends, throw a party, pay a visit to their mother. or, if they must paint, walk around and have them scout for the perfect landscape to paint. Not only will that be, like, way more fun, it's also mega satisfying when you look at the picture on your wall because you picked that scenery out yourself.

@@LoveMe0516 I agree. I've been playing The Sims since TS1 and you can't grind to hard in that game. If you do, you'll max skills and get to the top of the career ladder quickly and then what? Nothing. TS4 does not have a good gameplay loop so you have to create one. Every time I load up a household I have a few rules: 1) someone has to have a club gathering, 2) I have to have one or more sims leave the lot and I go with them 3) If a sim is in an active career or HS, I have to go with them at least once. This helps break up the gameplay grind. I also focus on making my sims do laundry, eat dinner together, slow gameplay where I'm playing on 1 speed and doing my own voiceovers for my sims. This helps everything slow down and feel more rich. I think Simmers are way to quick to play though all the features of a pack as fast as possible. Why? Then you have nothing new to look forward to or get excited about. This game might go on for a while..... save some stuff.

I used to be guilty of this till I started watching OshinSims' play style. Slowing down and playing your sim as if they're a real complex individual instead of grinding goals makes the game so much more enjoyable!

So even though they could have replaced the lion by something that makes sense for the game, it probably wouldn't have been a workout machine, but I see what you're saying.

i think it's coming. the household description for the spectre house in the new pack mentions someone being in a band. I've noticed over the years the descriptions for sims on the gallery always hinted at something coming soon. there were 2019 sims descriptions on the gallery that hinted at photography career, soccer and university and the rec center. we eventually got those things. the only thing hinted that we did not get was a dance teacher job but maybe it is coming with a band update.

8:25 I personally love the current art form. I guess it’s relaxing for me. Inzois hyperrealism scares the F out of me. Sims 4 is cash grabby at the end of the day, but it’s a big part of my cozy day routine. Idk why I’m holding off on purchasing L&D EP because it seems a bit overwhelming with all the overhaul but, rn I’m taking it one pack at a time. I recently purchased cottage living and it’s quite quaint and cozy. Soothes me, but also makes me anxious sometimes 😂

I honestly like the artsy and cartoony vibe , i think maxis match cc’s looks very nice , but I think the models needs a lil update ,the models are from a late 00’s early 2010’s so EA really need to improve the sims appareance like a sim remasterization if they want to expand the franchise well. Just a skin ,shadows modification and more details in the face and the models would be perfect even tho I already like them. I also want them to find a way to improve the models without it having an impact on cc’s cause I’m too attached to my maxis match cc’s 😭 I also like realism but I think that too much realism ruins the joys of the gameplay because you spend your time admiring the realism instead of appreciating the authenticity of the gameplay which to me is more important than realism that’s why I prefer Paralives over Inzoi. But people who are more into realism will have an opposite opinion than mine and I get it ^^

A cas refresh is necessary. The traits need to be done over so the obsolete ones work. Like the vegetarian and lactose intolerant traits should be moved. There should be separate swatches on the ombré hairs and the ones with accessories The likes dislikes and attractions need to be touched up. Why can’t we choose a favorite food? A favorite genre of movie or book?

I kinda doubt the lion is a hint, since that's just how the strength tarot card looks like, a lion and a witch with the symbol of infinity in the head. The only difference that makes it sims like is the gnome in the mouth.

Perfect graphics is nice, but i'm not going to join sims 4 or Inzoi just based on graphics alone regardless of if sims 4 wants to copy the hyper realistic look or not.... I'm crossing my fingers for a game with loads of details and gameplay to be announced. Yes i want crazy graphics, but its not the only thing that makes a game great for me. I want the whole package, graphics, gameplay, detail, customizable, moddable, and deep. I want a game that operates like real life while also keeping the carefree video game charm we know and love. That's why i love GTA as much as i do, the world is huge, they pay attention to detail, and for what it is right now with GTA 5 the graphics are great, but at the same time the game don't take itself too serious with the hijinks, that's what i want in a life sim.

Please NO timed events and NO hyper realism. I hated the grim reaper event. I hate how it is one shot at exclusive items and then never again. I hate how it takes over the game with no way to get rid of the icon. I hate how it is tied to real time. If it were a scenario that we could do whenever we want to, even in a year, then great. But not on a timer, even if the timer is reasonably long. It's the principle. Hyper realism is just not a style I enjoy. I prefer the cartoony look and am very happy the game can run on a laptop, which I doubt can be done with rent hyper realistic 3D environments.

i dont love the souls journey, some of the "tasks" are cool but many of them are easy or too random. i wish that it would resemble more with sims 2 life goals, where your sim would want to raise 20 kittens or puppies, take their children to college, marry a rich sim, reach the level 10 of a career, this kind of stuff.. going around and "woohoo in a waterfall" and "write a will" is not too much fun being real honest, hopefully modders will add harder options to the bucket list, since i do think its a clever idea not so well executed ..

I think it's more likely its a lion because the strength card often has a lion on it and less likely a deeper meaning. And I prefer it cartoony. I'd use alpha cc if I wanted it in a more ultra realistic style.

I would be kinda surprised if the lion meant anything. They based all the art on the cards on the real Rider Waite deck art, and the strength card has a lion on it in the real version too. Not impossible but since the rest of the cards they made also look like the actual cards, I doubt it. A cool thought though

It's the Strength card in the major arcana..There is always zoo tycoon, I don't think it's a good idea in The Sims. I think some simmers out there are too competitive and must complete it like now, instant gratification....I take my time and slow things down, real life can be hectic enough and I don't want that in my game, I have a lot more fun that way. No, to that type of animals. I will not switch to the other sim type games. It's not to cartoony. For me being hyper real is not important and I do not like how they look in, my sims, that reminds me too much of a facebook game. The Sims 4 strikes a balance between the two.

I normally would think the simmers are overreacting with the lack of seasons in the world, but considering Seasons is the ONLY EP without a world and we were promised we wouldn't miss it not having a world because they said it would impact every world, them not including seasons in this pack screams laziness. They probably had to cut corners to make the halloween deadline, and thats the corner they decided to cut. I feel if they just updated the base game with another world (similar to newcrest) or updated the seasons dlc to include a unique world, i feel a lot of the upset could be calmed

If they aren't going to give us the Sims 5 the LEAST they could do is update the graphics of the Sims 4. The game is noticeably dated in the looks department, it is a decade old afterall. I hope they take inspiration from the most popular CC and go the more realistic route instead of the more disney route that is currently flopping in other game franchises.

There's demonic summoning in high school years that can straight up kill your sim and ghost summoning rituals in paranormal that can curse you, let's not forget the terrifying night wraith and the damned spilling out of portals in life and death but sure, tarot cards are the real evil. When sims 4 came out the first thing i thought was it was unsimlike.... Everybody says they hate an idea until they imprint on it just to hate the opposite direction that's revealed for the new version. And i don't buy for a second that that much sims fans are really that bothered by Insoi being hyper realistic, i feel like most of that sentiment is from them playing fanboys to the sims and thinks attacking another game would help their fandom out, because say if Inzoi didn't exist and EA revealed that the sims 5 was coming and the graphics Inzoi has is the sims 5's graphics, sims fans would be losing their minds celebrating it, but most opt to pretend like hyper graphics is so "scary and jarring"...
