Simikot Airport is situated at Simikot Rural Municipality of Humla District, Karnali Province. It is the gateway to Mount Kailash, Mansarovar Lake and for the rafting in the Karnali River which are considered as famous tourist destinations. Majority of domestic airlines are operating scheduled and
chartered flights to the airport with priority and the trend is expected to continue and grow in future. This airport serves as the only one means of transportation of this area. The road network connection to this area is yet to be constructed.
