Pythagorean Theorem (*COMING SOON!*)
Now that we have solved 4 problems involving similar triangles, you are hopefully getting used to them! However…
If you are still feeling a little unsure about identifying similar triangles, setting up your ratio properly and using those ratios to find unknown side lengths this video is for you. We will do 4 MORE practice problems in this one video. All of them involve AA Similarity because as I said in Part 1, this is definitely the MOST COMMON/IMPORTANT one of the three. By the end, you will feel more confident using AA and working with similar triangles,
These set-ups may LOOK trickier because we have a lot more going on, but I show you how to turn off the noise and focus on the fundamentals. Identify your parallel/perpendicular lines first. Then you will find equal angles. Finally, use AA Similarity to finish the problem.
Problem 1 (0:32): AA Setup involving two parallel lines
Problem 2 (4:41): AA Setup involving two parallel lines but SCARIER
Problem 3 (12:05): Criss-Cross perpendicular setup
Problem 4 (17:42): Using the Pythagorean Theorem with AA Similarity
