@@Coflo No shit. Here's why I love watching your podcasts so much. Im old. Don't go out every weekend like I used. Lost my timing a bit from lack of getting down. I never battled tho. I just learned a groove and took pride in it, but love to sit at my computer and watch people throw down House dancing. Mostly battles tho. Not enough showcasing. Battles are always...in my opinion....quicker in motion. I didn't battled. I went out. Crowed of people from every corner of the world....Dolled up or jazzed out in designer clothes, or a B-Boy style wearing gym shoes and an Adidas track suit. Straight people, Gay people, Black and white. Rich and poor. Smelling nice and sexy flowing with cologne, or nasty as fuck with body odor, we all got down. The few hundred people blessed because Derrick Carter, Mark Farina or Sneak came home from touring and spinning live for thousands at a time in Europe, Tokyo, or some Spanish Island, and they come home to throw down at the way to hot basement club under the Metro across the street from Wrigley Field and lay down 4 or 5 turn tables and play a 5 hour set for friends and family. I used to wonder if they even got paid sometimes. Those who danced tho. That HOUSE GROOVE? We came dressed sharp, but comfortable, not to impress. Always with a pocket full of weed and rolls, but we grooved. We didn't do it a the speed of the dancers who battled. I don't know how to label it. In mixing terms it would be BPMS's, but in dancing. Dancers always move faster then they do when they're just.....dancing to dance. That's why I enjoy your simmer rooms. This track I asked you about. That Herbert made. and I have MANY MANY Herbert tracks. You threw it down on your 164 session AND 165, and I just think it's sick as hell because of the all the shit you can build up, add, and drop with it. But 2:06. dude in red Adidas track pants. He was always getting down. Video pulls him up 2:05:03 to 2:06:08. Just a few seconds. A few basic House kicks, but little circle type motion he does with arms at the end he throws his hands straight down hipside and turns his head looking straight up, does a slight hop and lands with his feet angled out sideways. It's SO BASIC but still so complicated. It's not shit you see so much in a battle, but he's not battling. He's just showcasing. I always thought that House.....as complicated as it is, and takes practice to get good at.......It's more grooving then dancing. A person can look like they're a much better dancer than they are if they learn a few basic House steps compared to any other dance style but at the same time. Any other dance style can be mistaken for another dance style......NOT HOUSE THO. HOUSE IS STILL THE SAME SHIT NOW AS IT WAS DECADES AGO. But your podcasts. Love'em. Cuz its always "DANCE AND DON'T CARE" so it's a groove. Like I was used to. Your mixing is a lot better then when you sarted out. But YOUR BAY SIDE so I get that. I'm more JACK but still Underground. You can be confused as a deep house style, but you're not in my opinion, and when you throw in tracks like the Herbert track I asked you about. You're straight up UNDERGROUND. You have a bit of a.....Mile Meada vibe when he would get down. There's a true HALF AND HALF Chicago House and Bayside House DJ if you want one. The Brazilian duo Anhanguera do it the best now tho.
