I replaced my simmons titan-70 cymbals with mc-16. They are a HUGE upgrade in every aspect of performance.

I couldn’t agree more. They make it a different set of e-drums in every sense of the word. Thank you for the comment!

Thank you so much for responding so quickly. Your input, plus the upgradeability with the cymbals makes this a clear choice. And my local guitar center has them in stock. LOL. Again thank you again for helping me to finally pull the trigger.

Yay! No more wind chimes! Not dissing wind chimes, they DO have their place. It was just difficult to hear you over the water falling (?) and the wind chimes. 😂

Nice upgrade bro. I just got the kp180 and these cymbals are my next target. They look so nice, I just wanna know what is the feeling when you play… it’s different from the others or the same?

They’re are definitely more substantial, given the weight. Feels to me more realistic and, because of that extra heft, more closely resembles striking “real” cymbals. They trigger perfectly. Feels much more high end now vs the plastic. Thanks for the comment!

I'm very interested in the Titan 70 kit. However, you're the only other independent reviewer I have found online. I really enjoyed your video on the cymbal expansion kit. So what I really am trying to figure out is how you would rate this kit compared to the new Alexis Nitro Pro? Also, is the rack for the Titan high enough for someone who likes to sit high on the throne? Thanks for your videos. Look forward to seeing more of them.

First off, thank you for this comment. It literally made my day. My goal is to help regular drummers out, as that is what I am myself. Let’s start with your question regarding the rack. I don’t know your height, but I’ll give a few points of reference: I am 5’9”. I’ve been playing drums for 30 years, and my preference has always been a high throne. Sounds like you and I are similar that way. I have always liked to be slightly above my drums. I have no issues doing so with the Titan 70 paired with my ROC-n-Soc nitro piston throne. I still have room left to raise my rack if I chose to. As for your Alesis question: I have owned Alesis products in the past. I had a massive Alesis kit that I had built up on and expanded. Despite the expansion, never felt like I truly loved it. I had some issues with missed triggering, sound settings, etc. This was years ago but left a bad taste in my mouth. I played the Alesis nitro in the store recently and found I preferred the Titan samples much more. I also found that I missed my extra Tom to play with. Lastly, the Titan felt “beefier” to me. Just my two cents. I hope these answers help!
