People keep saying that Firestar's Quest and Power of Three are tied together because that's where Firestar gets the prophecy about the Three and to that I say: That's obviously not what I meant. It's also why I said 'next to nothing'. Firestar could've gotten that prophecy anywhere and the books would be the exact same.

Jose Garcia I despise that idea specifically because it makes no sense to anyone's character. There is literally no evidence in any if the books that Whitestorm was with anyone before Willowpelt. If he was then that'd be cool. Cats move on and all that. But Ashfur and Ferncloud didn't grow up with a father and Whitestorm (the cat who also didn't get the chance to know either of his parents well) wouldn't do that to any kits he fathered.

Rae Avon We really need it so RiverClan can get a new leader. The writers would never make a random character we know nothing about off the top of our heads into a leader, and Midtystar needs to be replaced at this point. At least a super edition would introduce us to a warrior who could become leader or deputy (to the new face of RiverClan) down the road.

As far as I remember he never really had character development beyond defying Onestar’s orders and giving Puddleshine and the other medicine cats access to the lungwort. I love the super editions! And I'm super excited for the Crowfeather one, I really wanna see things from his PoV. Plus, the Windclan Super editions have been my favorite (Moth Flight's Vision and Tallstar's Revenge) though yeah I'd looove a Riverclan super edition too. Dunno who it'd focus on... but that might be something we'll see as VoS progresses. I know lots of people say Mothwing but I think a Willowshine one would be cool. Or whoever the next deputy (or Reedwhiskerstar) is, since you know that'll happen. Soon.

my prediction for a possible riverclan super edition. Mistystar is friggin old. i think she will die and the super edition might be about a potential new leader. Something i think would be interesting is if both mistystar and reedwhisker (the current deputy) both die in say the main series. and the new book could be about them dealing without a leader or a cat who was chosen at last second and never had any leadership skills from being deputy long enough or not at all. I just think this would be interesting. I'm cool with anything happening really ;)

Given how Crowfeather has been handled since the New Prophecy I'm really not expecting all that much, particularly given how the Erins like to outright villainize him at every possible turn to make Leafpool (and really anyone else) look better in comparison. Still I wonder if this book will take place just after Mudclaw's coupe and show us the drastic changes in the political landscape following Onewhisker's transition into Onestar. I still say that that event should/could have played a huge part in Crowfeather deciding to leave windclan and elope with Leafpool. Either way, could be interesting to see the inner workings of Windclan and maybe see the old version of Onewhisker before he became a massive prick.

I mean I would imagine that despite how it's generally been presented, he still had a few friends within the clan and not everyone cast him aside so quickly. I wasn't expecting him to become deputy with how his storyline has played out (still don't expect him to become leader) but if I had to guess a reason as to why, outside of plot convenience, I would say it's probably going to mirror what happened with Firestar and Greystripe. Harestar is probably going to be shown to be one of the few, legitimate friends Crowfeather has within the clan which would make a certain amount of sense since it would mean that he'd be one of his biggest supporters during a particularly harrowing time.

Tbh I really am exited for Crowfeather's Trial, because in the warriors field guide, there is a POV of Crowfeather about his love/relationship with Leafpaw/pool and I enjoyed that part. We haven't had a good look into WindClan since Tallstar's SE I think, so it'll be good to see what's happening in more modern times... If that makes sense. I also want to see if there is anything about Breezepelt, because I want to learn what Crowfeather actually often said/says to him and maybe see how Breezepaw evolved into the nasty, evil, Breezepelt.

In Crowfeather's Trial, I would hope, or at least enjoy, seeing how he coped with the news of the Three's relationship with him and how his Clan reacted too. I would also enjoy reading his Clanmate's reactions when he is made deputy (or at least I THINK he is made deputy, I am only on Thunder and Shadow rip) and finally, I would enjoy seeing Crowfeather grow as a character no matter how they make the super edition, he has always been an enjoyable character in my eyes and has reasons to be grumpy, his ex-mentor was killed, the cat closest to him on the journey was killed, his girlfriend dumped him for ThunderClan, he was called out for being disloyal and ended up choosing Nightcloud as a mate, their son growing up with hatred towards his father, finding out he is the father to three ThunderClan cats, his Clan turning against him, his wife and son hating him and over all, just the way that the Erins made his character! To be honest, I kinda wanna see a Crowstar in WindClan

I admit to being in the "cash grab" group, but you make a lot of good points regarding them not necessarily being mandatory reading material and, let's be honest, most fans will (and should!) buy them anyway, even if they don't do it alongside AVoS.

I called them "cash grabs" because super editions are twice the cost of a normal Warriors book and I was going off of the presumption that they were required reading in order to understand AVoS, rather than them being side-stories like the other super editions. Now that I've actually read all of what is available, I've reconsidered that position, since they aren't strictly necessary. If it had turned out that reading Hawkwing's Journey or Tigerheart's Shadow was necessary to understand AVoS, then yes, I would be critical of the decision to make them 2x the cost of a main-series book instead of finding a way to include their information into the main series proper. But, thankfully, this ended up not being the case. As a published author myself, I'm well aware that books aren't "a fun side project."

My only problem with the new super editions is that tigerheart’s shadow came out at a similar time to Shattered sky, so most of the events revolving around shadowclan were a bit hard to grasp, since darkest night wasn’t even out yet. Also Moth Flight’s vision is underrated. .-.

To be honest, Crookedstar’s promise was so sad but so good. All the struggles he had to deal with just made me want to cry for him but it kept my attention and that’s the first super edition I’ve finished so far (Im currently reading Bluestar’s promise and Yellowfang’s secret and i started reading Firestar’s quest but I had to return it to the library after i read chapter 2 or 3). I think the next one I should read now is Tallstar’s revenge because you make it sound so good.

Here’s a tip. If you’re doing an assignment where you get the choose the book you write about, and you want to do a warriors book, DO A SUPER EDITION. Since they’re disconnected from the rest of the plot, you don’t have to worry about series conflicts getting in the way of the books conflicts

Like what the other's have said on here, read "Crookedstar's Promise". I recommend reading "Yellowfang's Secret" purely because I really liked it and "Tallstar's Revenge"; since you liked "Tallstar's Revenge" you might like that one, too. "SkyClan's Destiny:, "Firestar's Quest" nor "Hawkwing's Journey" were all that great to me, the two former ones were passably boring but are now essential to the plot and Hawkwing in "Hawkwing's Journey" was generally unlikable to me until the last couple chapter of the book.

Jester McLester is correct. "Omen of the Stars" was incredibly boring and so focused on one specific character, not the entire three. Said character is annoying and bland; however, if you do end up liking it, it won't be seen as a 'sin of the Warriors fandom'. Just keep in mind that I once had a friend who started on "Omen of the Stars" and thought it was so bad she decided not to finish the rest of the series. Even after I told her she had started on the fourth part of the entire series, she told me, "Nope! I'm not going through with Omen of the Stars again. You can just tell me what goes on in the other books."

I really hope they do a modern Riverclan super edition soon, and not just because it's my favorite clan. Mistystar's quite old and probably on her way out, but Reedwhisker's nearly elder-aged himself and apart from Mothwing and Willowshine, we really know nothing about any of the other cats in Riverclan. We know that something's going on with Riverclan in avos, so maybe whatever that is will tie in with it somehow? Mostly I just would really like to see the cats of riverclan Doing Stuff so we actually have a reason to be invested in more than four of them.

I have to agree that the "required reading" thing is a bit frustrating, and I worry about spoilers from them and it's just a bit frustrating. I like how Bramblestar's storm and Moth Flight's vision did it. Between books, give cool related info, possibly fill in some of the missing pieces in the normal arcs, but NOT have a separate timeline and WHICH DO YOU READ FIRST AAGH? Of course, that's just because I'm obsessed with Moth Flight/Moth Flight's Vision. As a library reader, release order is indeed a bit of a headache. I remember I even skipped book 2 of Omen of the Stars b/c it wasn't available. update: However, I like the points you made that it doesn't really matter. Am I the only one who thinks Bramblestar and Squirrelflight are bad parents? They haven’t had any real interactions with Alderheart or Sparkpelt, like ever. They were good parents to their adopted kits, but haven’t done anything with their own

They are Leader and Deputy of their clan now, and in Warriors, the job of traditional parenting pretty much ends when their kits become apprentices, so it's no surprise that Bramblestar and Squirrelflight aren't seen interacting with them much, and I don't think it makes them bad parents (by Warrior cats standards) but I'd like to see more from them too. :)

I worded that badly, lol. I don’t think they’re necessarily bad, I just wish they’d have more interactions. Even when Jayfeather, Hollyleaf and Lionblaze became warriors, they still talked to Brambleclaw and Squrrielflight much more than Alderheart and Sparkpelt do, which is probably due to them both having more responsibilities now, but I feel like Bramblestar only talks to Alderheart when there’s a prophecy, which he just brushes off in Darkest Night. And the only time that we’ve seen Sparkpelt interact with her parents is that brief part in the first chapter of Darkest Night when she’s sitting with Squirelflight. I don’t need them to be super involved and stealing the spotlight, but just a little praise and conversation here and there would be better

I just read Hawkwings journey but I have to say that it makes me dislike his kits a little more. Hawkwing lost most/all of his family and friends and then Violetpaw and Twigpaw decide they don’t really want to live with him. I know that it’s not their fault but I feel so bad for Hawkwing. I just want him to have some family!

I screamed like a little fan girl and ran around my house going crazy... ((Sorry for the essay here lol I dunno how to not write a heck ton)) * Really the only character from the original books I would like a super edition of would be Barley. I know we got Ravenpaw's Farewell but that was focused on Ravenpaw, not Barley(it was also just a short Novella) and Barley seemed to have such an interesting life no one talks about(living with bloodclan, rescuing his sister, they could even show his relationship with Ravenpaw develop from when he first joined Barley in the Barn), and maybe even give Barley the end he deserves instead of letting him die alone in a stuffy old barn. Give him the chance to help the clans one last time or something. Beyond that I love that super editions are focusing more on current timelines and current characters, it makes the super edition feel more worth while. Honestly before Tigerheart's Shadow, the only super edition I had read was Firestar's Quest and Mothflight's Vision, because no other's seemed important(though i do want to read Tallstar's Revenge since people seem to love it so much). * I also agree 100% on your last two points. I haven't read Hawkwing's Journey yet, but i'm not confused at all on the main series. The newer Super editions give more meat to the story and help answer questions an flesh things out a bit, but they so far don't seem to be "YOU MUST READ IT OR THE MAIN ARC WON'T MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL AHHHH". They can really be read whenever. * And SAME ABOUT CROWFEATHER'S BOOK no one else seems to want it but i keep saying we NEED IT!!!! If ANY character needs a super edition it's him(so long as it's done well). I'm super excited to see where they go with him and how he really feels about what he's gone through with Nightcloud and their trash son. If they do it right, it could be such a good book! * As for a river clan book, perhaps Mothwing would make a good main cat for a SE? or maybe a newer character from Riverclan.

I have read Hawkwings Journey, and for a travelling book, it was really good. The main reason I disliked TNP was because the travelling, it felt filler for PoT, but with this book, there were so much cool and crazy things in store! It introduced Darktail back, and during the travelling, peculiar things happen. That was just a short review, but overall, this book was amazing to read.

Warrior cats is a cash grab in general because of the insane production levels. The audience(mostly kids) demands new book no matter the quality. Good art loses to money. I'm not buying a new book until the quality is back(or there, since it was never good). And what I've heard of vision of shadow is very divived.

Before I rant, let me say this: BLUEBAE'S PROPHECY IS THE BEST WARRIORS BOOK EVER. Out of the super editions I've read(not counting novellas) this is how I liked them in order: 1. Bluestar's Prophecy 2. Crookedstar' Promise 3. Yellowfang's Secret 4. Firestar's Quest 5. SkyClan's Destiny PLEASE NOTE THAT I LOVE ALL OF THESE AND HAVEN'T READ EVERY SUPER EDITION. I NEED TO FINISH OMEN OF THE STARS FIRST. *phew* Thank you. Now, my angry rant. I would prefer it if they STAYED THE WAY THAT THEY WERE. Now I feel like it's necessary to read those. And I HATE Tigerheart so I don't want to read a super edition about him.

I have an opinion. Hawkwing’s Journey was pretty much pointless. Ok,ok, ok. It was a great book, it had great characters an interesting plot line, a main antagonist and a hint of mystery. But literally they never finished their prophecy. They set out once to find the clans. They failed. They tried again. Also failed. They tried a final time with the remaining warriors from there clan for around 3 moons and still. Didn’t. Find. The. Clans. Seriously the last words where Echosong asking Hawkwing “what do you see?” While gesturing over the hillside. And hawkwing responeds by saying “ the future.” And the book just ends. You might be asking what the heck what happens to them? Are they just wandering around? Did they just leave and scatter and all die? Well this book has to be read along the first book In vision of shadows, for it to make any sense. But they don’t tell you that, and seriously I wouldn’t buy this book. It’s highly repetitive, and seems to drag out, and it’s pretty much just killing tons of SkyClan cats, that, unless you read the other super editions about SkyClan, and kept up with the normal arcs, you have no clue what the heck is happing.Then repeating the journey like 3 times.they didn’t have to go out the first 2 times, but they did. And they failed. Anyways if you like the book, I do too! I like any warrior cats book, I just feel like it was dragged out to much, and didn’t make all that much sense to end the book where it did.

Michael Woods i remember a bit of clear skys arc (been a long time since i read dawn of Clans and moth flights vision) and the Erin's wear trying to make a bit more likeable but in moth flights vision he just seemed to go back to his old angry and aggressive only to seem to care about star flower and his kit. Though i think moth fight vision is one of the best books that i read so far and would love to see it get more love.

I have a trend of liking things most dislike, which is why I liked Skyclan's Destiny and Bluestar's Prophecy, but it's been so long since I've read Yellowfang's Secret that I can't really say if I dislike it, but I remember it not being my favourite. I was okay with Bramblestar's Storm, but it also wasn't the best, though I wouldn't say it was horrible. I'm REALLY excited for Crowfeather's Trial. I really wanna see how he grows as a character!!! I think it'd be worthwhile to have super editions that focus on what each of the clans are doing during the main series (the point you brought up at the end) because of the Thunderclan heavy focus of the books. Maybe between each series, the Erins could do a more classic super edition to balance out the newer ones for old fans

Ima just say my opinion on Tigerheart's Shadow :P I don't really like Tigerheart's Shadow, why? You might ask, Tigerheart & Dovewing act like they'll die without each other, & it gets annoying when the main character won't shut up about his wife. (He literally leaves 3 days after his mother was almost blinded wth Tigerheart) But they had some character development...some. Also Shadowkit is my child.

I personally didn't like "Hawkwing's Journey" because of Hawkwing's character. Hawkwing was kind of a douche for half the book and that annoyed me for a majority of the book, leaving a bad image of him in my mind even now. Though, I can be honest and say he got better when he started helping with the one she-cat's kits, that doesn't mean I got over him being an inconsiderate douche for most of the book. It did give me more insight on Twigpaw and Voiletpaw family in "Vision of Shadows"; however. it basically told me that he and Pebbleshine (I believe that is her name) were their parents. I read the "Hawkwing's Journey" right I had read "Apprentice's Quest" or "Thunder and Shadow" (I don't remember), because I had thought if I read it then it would make more sense later in the series. Then when reading "Thunder and Shadow" or the more logical answer "Shattered Sky", they reference a dream on of ThunderClan's medicine cats (I'm pretty sure it was Alderheart, but don't quote me on that) had about Twigpaw and Voiletpaw's parents and I made the correct conclusion on who their father and mother were. If I offended you with this, I'm partially sorry. Partially because it's my opinion but I'm also overly critical of the super additions and novellas. Onto the way the Erins are doing the super editions now, I'm completely fine with and do think I could like how this goes in the future. I did love the older style ones, but this works better in the favor of the current series instead. It also favors my way of reading the books, especially since, as an example, I read the "Vision of Shadows" books I had at the time (those being "Apprentice's Quest" and "Thunder and Shadow") when I finished the books I had I started to read "Mothwing's Vision" (which I did like) but when I got "Shattered Sky" it made me forget what had happened in the current timeline.With this way of doing the super editions it would keep me on track with the main series while I wait for the next book to come out, which at the time had been "Darkest Night".Though, I hope they do continue to do older character books or else I'd most likely get bored with the new super editions, only buying and reading them to have a complete collection and grasp on the current story.
