And I thought I was the only one who shook my guitar like a maniac during a bent note. Way to go Simo

Sounds like it should be coming from a Filmore recording from the early 70s. I'm hearing Cream in there as well as Page, Jimi of course, and some Nugent too.

Saw / heard them in Wetumpka AL. at Gold Star Park last night for the River And Blues festival. They should have re-named it the "SIMO band kicked every body else' ass right of the stage" and Blues festival. One of the best sounding bands to show up around here in a long time!! Especially out doors near the rivers edge!! Sound was amazing!!

Yea really. JD can pass for Leslie West's son. JD looks like Leslie, but a little slimmer, during the 60s era.

Came back to this and I truly believe that Nashville was going through 60’s in the 10’s, (and If you know anything about the cycles of culture you’ll know what I’m talking about) but anyway writing here from 2020, about to witness the dawn of a new age of rock n roll, and SIMO jamming out in Mercy Lounge in Nash in 13’ (which was a Booming year) shows that they were clearly ahead of their time no doubt. I saw them live on a hot summer day at live on the green in 16’ and it was as if I was witnessing something tribal and psychedelic beyond what words can describe. Not sure what he’s up to now but he did it right regardless, schoooling us fools left and right. Rant over. You just gotta recognize important things when you do. Peace n love - AE

Carlo DeFranco Yeah, I missed it too, I had riot fest tickets that cost too much to waste. Got to hang w/ him a little bit sunday, he is so modest and down-to-earth. He's also one of the most sincere and positive people I have known - just an all-around great guy w/ more talent than I could ever dream of. peace.
