@@bidge6353 Hi Mark. The thing I did to make this feel unnatural was artificially space out the flow of the conversation. The over the top delivery is then more blatant because it doesn't flow naturally. It's a lot of instinct for the actual line delivery.

Except...no...that comparison isn't quite right. Trunks already knew Gohan, and only met his younger self, who later became more passive in personality than his future self was. If anything it'd be more like Trunks meeting Goku and Vegeta, who had already died and were known only through stories. He actually got to know them better as people.

@@PokemonTrainerVince To do so would be to disregard the definition of "meet." Interacting with Teen Gohan is more a reintroduction (akin to watching old photos come to life.) Meeting him later on, in Super, is more of a "meeting" because the Gohan he's talking to has lived a completely different life from his mentor. You could say he was "meeting" Teen Gohan because he ends up becoming a different person...but that's exactly why it's not "meeting his mentor" as you originally described. At one point they were the same Gohan but they branched off. Belmonts meeting each other here has no branches in timeline. It's why you're actually "meeting a legend" because they are left intact.

Simon and Richter are at least 4 or 5 generations apart. Simon's games take place in 1691 and 1698. He was the grandfather of Juste Belmont, star of Harmony of Dissonance, which takes place in 1748. Richter's game, Rondo of Blood, takes place in 1792. Don't mind me, I'm just being a geek.
