As an African woman who grew up around wealthy African men, listening to Simon speak makes it clear to me is that Portia has NO IDEA what she's up against. African men like Simon would rather die before they loose...EVEN when they know they are in they are in the wrong (if you know, you know). It's something about their success/ego/wealth that makes them low key crazy and Simon is also one of the street smart ones so he knows how to get around things...particularly the law lol.
