Ok, perhaps no one will answer - I can see that comments before me are left hanging. But anyhow, I started doing these exercises. Lots of fun. He got the walk and the trot right away, transitions from back up to trot worked well but he wouldn't stretch down during back up as of yet. I would love a follow up video to see how he works with picking up the horse and getting them on the bit for a normal working/dressage frame. After all, that was a big point with the video but left unexplained.

So sorry for the delay - have a read of Simon's book 'Core Conditioning for Horses' - it's really informative and explains how to perform the movements. Speaking from personal experience - I taught my horse to lower her head first, then taught her to lower and walk backwards. To lower, I popped my fingers on her neck just in the groove of her shoulder blade (gently) and released when she lowered her head - it was an accident at first, but she soon learnt to lower. She also does it ridden now - I just have to tickle her withers 🙂

The video of the horse being lunged with stretch…. Is this a horse that already knows how to lift his back? How do you ask for stretch in lunging in trot ?

These corcoza pods are not ready for prime time. They should be kicked off you tube until they improve the sound. best Bruce Peek
