Beautiful rendition of a beautiful song. My uncle was a member of the SFU pipe band for longer than I've been around but unfortunately passed away last year after finally losing his fight with cancer. They performed this rendition at my uncles funeral to honor him and it moved me to tears. He was a proud piper all his life like his father and is succeded by his son as well. Whenever I hear jeff buckleys hallelujah I think of that day and think of him. Thanks for posting this.

I am an American with Native American Cherokee and Scottish blood and a bit of Irish mixed in. When I hear the bagpipes my Scottish blood rises to the top and I can feel It in my bones. I love the way It makes my spirit uplifted. Thank you so very much and please keep playing.

Dan Maxwell this always gets me because my aunt used this in her slide show she made for my great grandpa's funeral. she made a slide show showing photos from his life when it began in 1917 and ended in 2016. he was a hero to me and loved the pipes. so this performance always gets to me.

The first time I've ever been able to enjoy this number. Not one of Leonard's best, but SFUPB has managed to make a silk purse out of sow's ear!

Many thanks for posting "You say I took The Name in vain I don't even know The Name But if I did, well really, what's it to you? There's a blaze of light In every word It doesn't matter which you heard The holy or the broken HalaluYah" Leonard Cohen In Hebrew HalaluYah means Praise to YAHUAH (H3068 meaning (He) who was, is, will be in all three tenses) -- The Almighty. The Heavenly Father's Set-Apart ("Holy") Name was "replaced" almost 7000 times throughout the Bible with the generic term "the LORD" (in Hebrew Lord = Baal H1168 another term for the Adversary!) YAHUAH is esteeming His mighty Name once more, just as He said He would do and as it is written, His people shall know and call upon His Name and that of His Son Yahusha (the proper masculine noun H3091 meaning YAHUAH (is) Saviour/Salvation). The English letter/sound "J" is less than 500 years in common use. If you look up the Greek word G2424 "transliterated" Heysoos/"Jesus" it will tell you from the original Hebrew proper masculine noun H3091 Yahusha which is the One Name given under all the Heavens by which any man may be saved #inthatday. The whole world is deceived! If you love Him then keep and do The Commandments good for a thousand generations which includes the 4th Commandment concerning His 7th Day Shabbath - Set-Apart forever and ever. Not the 1st day of the sun. Shabbath Shalom
