I met my old lover on the street last night, She seemed so glad to see me, I just smiled, And we talked about some old times, And we drank ourselves some beer, Still Crazy After All These Years. Still Crazy After All These Years. I'm not the kind of man who tends to socialize, I seem to lean on old familiar ways, And I ain't no fool for love songs, That whisper in my ears. Still Crazy After All These Years, Oh, Still Crazy After All These Years. Four in the morning, Crapped out, Yawning, Longing my life away. I'll never worry, Why should I ? It's all gonna fade. Now I sit by my window and I watch the cars, on by, I fear I'll do some damage one fine day, But I would not be convicted by a jury of my peers. Still Crazy After All These Years, Oh, Still Crazy, Still Crazy, Still Crazy After All These Years.

Hindsight is always 20/20 but after this performance the two of them went into a studio to record their comeback record and had a falling out. Paul deleted Art's vocals and released the album as "Hearts and bones" After the release of that album Simon did a press tour and during a televised interview was asked if the album would have sold better if he had kept Art's vocals. He instantly broke into a sweat and had to fight keeping a straight face, he was so pissed off about having been asked that. Sure Simon and Garfunkel had a couple of reunion shows but they never could work together in the studio again.

My parents used to play this all the time, and the nostalgia affected me, I was a sensitive little boy. If I analyse it now, ignoring the music for a moment, the lyrics aren't sentimental at all and actually quite disturbing. It's something you might find in the diary of a sociopath!

I wonder if this song is about Carrie Fisher. I heard he was really very broken hearted and in a deep depression when Princess Leia I mean Carrie Fisher Divorced him. With her being Bi-Polar, her drug and Alcohol problems and her being not only open, but basically exploiting her own Recovery- I think Carrie fisher might be considered Crazy.
