I had a serious epiphany about my guitar playing while watching your video - I must say how grateful I am! No one has ever shown me how to do this finger picking/strumming method before, and I had no concept on how to do it…. you show me one time and I finally get it! I think my playing is going to grow leaps and bounds from here on out! I am so excited. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I love the guitar.

This is one of the prettiest versions of this song out there, You did a great job with all the fill notes. I am going to try to add them. Thanks.

Thank you soooo much!!!! You are absolutely the best! I've been watching Marty Swartz forever but my goodness you're so much more detailed and you don't make it soooo simple. You play it like it needs to be played oh my goodness! You're amazing thank you!!

Of all the versions of this song on KZbin, your version is the second best......only second to S&G. Thanks for the great instruction!

Hi Pete, don't think you are around much anymore, but i am novice guitar guy, been playing for about 20 years on and off. You are without doubt one of the most amazing guitar teachers online. Thanks for sharing your videos and teaching me (and others) so many great songs. From Canada eh!

Well, I think I watched all the tutorials on the web looking for one that worked, and your treatment was about fourteen times more valuable than the next one down the line. Thanks so much.

Very nice sir ! I learned 3 things within less than one minute listening to your excellent lesson. The F chord does sound a little shy without barring it. Great tips sir all the way through. Thanks so much !

I always enjoy your tutorials, very instructive. I started guitar somewhat late in life and you have been a big help. When I see the occasional negative comment directed at you it really irritates me. You do a great job and it is really nice of you to do all this work for free. Thank you.

I watched/listened your cover many times on the on way to work this week just past. I was really hoping you'd make a tut and now here it is! I cannot wait to get home this afternoon and start working on it. Now if only someone could teach me how not to sound like a strangled cat when I sing... :) Thanks again for all the time you spend creating and uploading these videos.

Nice tut on the guitar. I like the "little pointers" you put in. Beautiful song. I don't know of anyone who has matched the original yet. This gives us laymen a chance to play and imagine.

Thank you so much for this very precise tutorial on Sound Of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel!! I had been looking for something at least as detailed as what you have done for a long time. Sorry for the mistakes... I have not had opportunity to speak English for ages... Thank you again for the very good jod you did on the music !!! Hope I will see you soon !!

Just landed on this via YTs Bots, me having covered his lessons before, but so glad I did. This lovely warm Ozzy man's voice tone and teaching is spot on, and after all these years he is still giving Gold away for free. Check out his other lessons, brilliant at what he does and sings great too.. Don't pay any attention to the thumbs down, there's always 1 or two in the room that don't get it....haaa🤣. Subbed to Georgiarose many moons back. Enjoy..Rollo.

Hi Pete Hope you are well Just finished learning this song from you....by far the best one so far as it seemed really complicated and i am only a beginner but i have muddled through it for a few months and finally got it.....after losing a lot of hair and some sleep!!!...wow....so good. It has inspired me to look for a new high end guitar to make it sound even better. I am going for a Martin HD-35 which sounds amazing to my ears....but i realise it's a personal choice. Just want to say a really big thank you to you.
