Well, It's not been a true Barton since the 1950's. It was water damaged and rebuilt several times throughout the 1960's, 70's, 80's with what could be found to keep it alive and finally it was rebuilt with quality refurbished parts and pipe ranks and installed by a team of top notch organ technicians in the early 1990's in time for the 1993 American Theater Organ Society Chicago convention. The instrument was originally built as a 4/21 spec in 1926. Since 1993 it has been a 23 rank hybrid instrument and is closer to 27 ranks today. That's it, there's no more room in the chambers or the stop rails for anything else!
