Can’t knock Simon for being upfront and honest about his opinion, even if I don’t necessarily agree with it. Losing the weight might well be an issue again for Brook as he looked somewhere close to 175 at the weigh-in judging by his face, so you have to wonder how it will affect him come fight night. Timing beats speed though and while Khan does have the speed advantage, I don’t think Khan has the discipline and ability to duck in and out to land jabs and scoring punches on Brook whilst avoiding getting caught. If and when Brook lands on him properly, Khan is getting stopped

Prime for prime I think Brook would have beat Khan. Khan’s had a far more illustrious career but at Brooks peak he might have been too big and too accurate for Khan. It’s a shame Brook’s peak was violently ruined by GGG. He was never the same again. Hearn put Brook in with Golovkin to save a PPV when instead he could have waited a few months to fight Jessie Vargas in a unification. The injury that Golovkin gave Brook was also the reason he inevitably lost to Spence too. What a shame. Right now though I think Khan will pepper Brooks face rn route to a comfortable decision win. Either way, both guys have been amazing servants for British Boxing and deserve this last payday. Also the point regarding respect, Brook has never shown Khan respect. Brook even mocked Khan seconds after Canelo KO’d Khan on Twitter when Khan was still on the canvas. Brook has always been bitter.

He didn’t even go down against a prime GGG, he only went down against Spence from his broken orbital bone, Amir gets rocked to his socks and knocked out. Amir has the ability to win but like always it’s dependent on him boxing a perfect 12 round fight. Much lesser fighters have dropped Khan, Julio Diaz, Sammy Vargas etc. Kell wins by KO mid to late rounds imo unless Khan has bettered his defence.

Khans chin is made of glass and whilst he did survive (barely) versus Maidana, lets not forget the way he was KO'd by Prescott and Canelo and stopped by Garcia and Crawford. At some point in the fight brook will connect and how Khan reacts will dictate how the fight goes. They say a boxers punch is the last thing he loses and conversely a boxers punch resistance is the first to go and a glass chin does not get stronger every time it gets hit. Having said that Brook is damaged goods from his fight with GGG - all this adds up to a fascinating fight! Cant wait even though this is at least 5 years too late.
