Amazing techniques, Simon. Harmonics and swift pitch bendings reminded me of tabla. Very tight fills and tone variations to create a "question - response" phrases. Maybe you could make a video about how to glue a new skin on a clay dohola? Literally no one on KZbin has yet covered this important topic. This is the only thing that holds me back from this magnificent instrument. There are so many cool fish/animal skins that one might install on a drum, but those ropes and sawn fabric look too menacing.. People say "it is just glued", but it probably really not "just" that. How to prepare the skin before installation, how to setup ropes for perfect tension distribution, or which glue to use? .. I have asked these questions on several youtube channels, yet it seems like a closely guarded secret or something 😅
