She took a break when she thought she had to, regardless what other people said. Remember when she refused to compete on an event in the last Olympic Games? Her fellow countrymen chastised her as a traitor. Later it was proven it had been good for her to take a break. Her vestibular system (the organ inside her ears which regulated balance) had been abnormal (affected by too many shakes, I guess). She couldn't differentiate ups from downs while doing a flip on air. It was good she took that break, otherwise she could be seriously injured, or even died.

The Simone of 4 years ago is still there-she just did the hard work required in order not to let it interfere with her success. Simone is GOAT, but not so much the poster of this video. Anyone who knows gymnastics knows that Simone has NOT completed a triple flip. Her dismount in this beam routine is a full-twisting double flip. It is done very well, and she has competed a double-twisting double flip (the only women to do this ever). Likewise on the other events... no triple flip. She does do a yerchenko double pike value that is amazing, and she is the only woman to ever do in competition. Anyway, get your descriptions right...
