I found one on a course today. Looks brand new. No name or number on it, so I posted it on our local FB page to try and find the owner. I wish I had the arm speed to throw these drivers. Your make it look so easy lol.

Been throwing my fission timelapse a couple weeks now, and just used it quite a bit in the BC Open this weekend. I throw a 174 Neutron Timelapse and a 168 fission timelapse. Just thought I'd mention that the fission timelapse is a fantastic compliment to the neutron. It's close to kicking the fission octane out of my bag. The first part of the flight of the fission octane and timelapse is pretty close with the octane flipping up a little bit more. It's the end of the flight that sells the timelapse. The octane can sometimes go into a late turn, similar to a Wave. The fission timelapse might hold a slight turn, but it's not all of a sudden going to go turn crazy towards the end. I also got a 160 fission timelapse out of curiosity but not bagging it. Those light discs take a special touch and I'm terrified of discs that don't come out of turns here in the north end of Washington state.

Definitely a great driver made for us mortals. Simon’s arm might be a bit much for a 157g lol

I’m considering giving this a shot with my weaker backhand. I’m a forehand player so domey discs are bad news for me but my forehand is approving and maybe I can throw something faster than my Eclipse Wave for pure distance.

Thanks for the vid! When are fission timelapses dropping? I love my 174 neutron timelapse. Been getting off the tee on big courses better than ever because I can really test that right side without it flipping over like my fission octanes and waves often do. Looking forward to the fission timelapse for sure!

How would you compare this to the Fission Photon? Seems like both would you give you great S-Curves no?
@TKDiscGolf6 ай бұрын
Haven’t thrown a Photon in a long time, yet the Time Lapse is a 12 speed Vs 11 speed Photon. Also this Fission blend of the TL has way more dome than I have seen from MVP, pretty much ever. The glide is off the charts.

This is my question
@axlespelledwrong6 ай бұрын
I can't say for sure until I try a Fission TL, but it reminds me a lot of a beat in 165g Fission Photon I have, but the Photon doesn't hook up quite as much at the end. I have a similar arm speed to TK from the looks of it, so I expect the Fission TL to be less mid flight stable than a new Fission Photon in similar weights.

Great review. Tempting for my son. He uses a Rive right now and can turn that disc, so this may be too flippy. No joke the kid threw a Detour 30ft past a 367ft hole last Sunday. Kind of on the fence with this one.
@robmichellesheely70696 ай бұрын
I'm looking a for a disc to throw flat and end up 40-50' right(RHBH) for about 350'. I can hit 375' generally. Think this disc would do that? If so, lighter or heavier one??

I guess I'll try it :). Fission is my jam

Does the outer edge has more plastic than regular or is the inner part just lighter?
@lucaswittman91466 ай бұрын
As I understand it, the rim does not have MORE plastic, but more DENSE of plastic, so heavier. If you take a 170g neuton disc next to a 170g fission disc of the same mould, the flight plate is lighter on the fission disc than the neutron, and so the rim on the fission disc is made to be heavier than the neutron to achieve the same weight.
@TKDiscGolf6 ай бұрын
They pack more weight filler into the overmold along with adding the micro bubbles to the core, thus moving as much density to the outside of the disc as possible.
@lucaswittman91466 ай бұрын
That being said, for whatever reason I have found that the parting line height (PLH) on fission discs are always made to be lower than parting line height of a neutron disc of the same mould. Anyone know why?
@mmdoof6 ай бұрын
There are exceptions, I have a Fission Volt that looks and flies like a Neutron, for example. But I think it's just due to how the different plastics expand and contract during the process.@@lucaswittman9146

They can’t make it in max weight but they make all they’re other drivers in fission max weight?
@TKDiscGolf6 ай бұрын
The money weight for fission is high 160s, the max weight mentality is a lie. The gyro helps maintain the stability. All the drivers I bag for the most part are 167-171.
@DrivingandDelivering6 ай бұрын
@@TKDiscGolfthat all makes sense, but doesn’t really address the fact that their other drivers in fission come in max weights and this one doesn’t? Kinda odd in my opinion. Lighter weight discs kinda throw my timing off, and also don’t seem to push as far as max weights. Just my own opinion.

The Fission plastic is designed to be light.. cant make max weight. Thats for other platics@DrivingandDelivering
