Few performers are the complete package. Charles "King of the Blues" Brown is certainly in the handful of them. Composer of enormous hits, reigning on blues charts for over 40 years, covered by literally countless artists, yet not, in my humble opinion, to be outdone by anyone on his own songs. And, defining standards that have few equals. This is a wonderful presentation, featuring the Danny Caron ensemble, that shows why Charles Brown is STILL unmatched.
