Video from the Sunday Raceday at this year's inaugural All Wheel Drive Club / Ultra 4 Racing King Of The Valleys competition.
Taking influence from the now legendary King Of The Hammers race, organized by Ultra 4 Racing in the California desert during February, the UK's All Wheel Drive Club set out an 18 mile course of rocks, rally tracks, mud, tight forest trails and riverbeds to test the 40+ teams entered. The site used was the famous Walter's Arena motorsports complex in South Wales.
Teams had to complete two laps per day over a weekend, those who did it fastest and with few breakages stood a good chance of being crowned the King Of The Valleys.
After over 80 miles of racing, Italians Team Acerni Offroad were crowned the victors, with Rob Butler of the Offroad Armoury in second, and local competitors Marc Dyer and Austin Jewitt in third.
Next year's event date has been set as the 9-11th August 2013. For more information head over to www.awdc.co.uk.
