But you can try modifying the rows beside minecarts carrying the ghasts to have either trap door +trident or piston + trident connected to a 3 tick redstone clock. Probably like 3 or 4 tridents for each row should be efficient and fast. But i doubt it'll work with the inside rows cos it'll block the spawnable blocks.. But good to test it out 🤔

If you're doing this on survival and don't want to change the difficulty to peaceful you can use Invisibility potions so ghasts don't attack you (Make sure you're not wearing armor) Also take fire resistant potions with you

Just built this farm. Minecraft Bedrock, PlayStation, October 2023. Works perfectly. Thank you! I agree with the suggestions from some of the other comments. I used invisibility potions, no armor, while building, and I wasn’t attacked at all. Bring lots of slabs. Bring more than you think you will need, and then bring more.

One thing I'd suggest is, if you have his Shulker farm, get at least 2 shulker boxes worth of slabs, then another half a shulker box.

Since I’ve seen a lot of questions on the rates for this farm but no answers, I waited here a little under an hour and got 2 stacks+22 gunpowder, and a stack+13 ghast tears. I think it’s worth it👍

@@slitherixxx the most I’ve gotten from hunting creepers at night is close to a stack of gunpowder with looting 3, but that also requires looking for them and hoping they’ll spawn within the 10 minutes. The ghast farm you can just afk there all night and get a lot of gunpower without having to do any work :) it’s still working great for me so I’d say it’s worth it

@@slitherixxx I understand that lol, but I don’t think it’ll break anytime soon as it seems to just exploit how the ghasts spawn. They can’t spawn anywhere because of the slabs so they spawn on the platform and get stuck in a minecart and killed by the cactus, it’s also surprising easy to build once it’s done even if it doesn’t look like it. I ended up building two of them in separate areas😭

I Built this in survival on 1.23. Works great. However, I was wondering why my rates weren't brilliant, and noticed that not all of the drops were being collected so I looked at the video again. I had built the collection track 90° to what it should have been! Thank goodness for the new crawling ability for bedrock 1.23. I manage to crawl under the spawn platform and rebuild the rail system the right way around. Collection rates are so much better now!

If people are having problems with endermen even though you build it in a soul sand valley I also had this issue, turns out there was a warped forest biome within 50 blocks of the platform that you stand on so i just lit it up with a bunch of torches and it stopped them spawning and teleporting to the platform. Also I really recommend turning your render distance to 4 chunks and setting your mode to hard when you afk it helps alot. As always a brilliant farm 😊

I just realized that you could always change difficulty to peaceful if you're on mobile cuz you cant fly using elytra the same way on pc and that it also wont disturb your hard mode, nicely done!

Made This farm last night on survival world with my friend I’m playing ( WORKS PERFECT YOU SHOULD BUILD THIS ) NOTES: setting The simulation distance on your world to 4 definitely will help (DO IT) The surrounding areas that will spawn Enderman of skeletons you should realistically put slabs down to help spawn rates me and my friend ended up placing thousands and thousands of slabs on almost every block surrounding us and the farm and our spawn rates went up a solid 20% since the only thing it can spawn after placing slabs down is the ghast in your farm Id say its about 2 half stacks an hour (NOT tested that fully but it’s good enough) I also build a creeper farm from JC And since they have an issue with dropping off it’s not really viable so I never use it hence making the ghast farm and instantly the guard farmers 1 million times better because if they spawn the guaranteed to die which equals gun power (the creeper farms can be painfully slow because they just sit in the top of the farm yes I’ve tryed cats and everything…… (if you have any questions I’m willing to answer but just know if you plan to AFK then it’s definitely worth it but if you’re just sitting there while you’re playing it could be boring. This is more of a AFK thing unless you don’t mind being bored LOL very good farm 7/8 ish outa 10 few things that could be better

on 1.20 the minecraft struggled to make it across the 21 rails, so I added in some powered rails on top of redstone blocks and it worked perfectly. you're awesome as always!

If you are building this after you have a bunch of gear, I’d recommend building a raid farm for totems, so that way you don’t lose all your stuff and you have multiple chances, JC Playz raid farm is pretty good so look for that

If you are using wither roses, then you wouldn't want to use this farm design. If you can get wither roses, there are far more efficient farm designs.

Torches didn’t help to prevent enderman from spawning. Then I raised sand one more block higher and put trap doors around it. Worked perfectly for a whole night.

Had to add alot more torches because of the endermen spawning in the darker areas between the torches, then they would pick up the sand everytime and ruin the farm

This farm seems to work but I find myself having to repair it almost every time I sit there for more than an hour. Enderman keep getting on the platform and taking the cactus. Also only not even getting a full stack of gunpowder an hour (or even 5 hours)

U need to spawn proof everything whithin a 50 block radius of the farm you also prolly built in a diff biome than the one he did or there’s a diff biome within 100 blocks of the farm if so place torches on the other biomes around your farm to stop endearment spawning

Still works in 1.20 . 1 hour afk looting: 182 gunpowder and 90 ghast tears with looting3 sword and below adjustments: Few improvements: make this farm 5 blocks wider, that way you can build one more rail line for free Ghasts-ride, and improve gains from this farm by 20%. I did check spawning area and it will still be within spawning distance. I had to use much more powered rails for hopper-minecart to move, JC used very limited number and my minecart stops at least at 4-5 spots on its way. I made AFK spot much bigger, kind of small glass house with chests, and I also made rail-line all the way from the farm to this AFK house - that way you don't have to go out to "unsecured" area to collect loots, but loots will come to you. I will probably build second farm on the other side of my AFK house to doubly my loots and will adjust this comment if that works. AD1: put torches on side of sand blocks and not on the platform, you can increase your spawning area by little AD2: enderman taking my sand and cactus as well. What I did a kind of solution is that I put there much more sand and cactuses on both sides of farm, so if enderman take some during my AFK session my ghasts will still be killed and I can repair once back on computer

Use foxy no tail's marker pack put and put the marker where you stand. In this case you only need to spawn proof/remove everything that's inside the red border and a little bit on the outside.
