I made a resistive SWR meter for QRP. Calibrated with known resistors of 50 Ω, 100 Ω and 200 Ω and so on. I like it because it will not allow the tx to see above 2:1 SWR but will indicate the actual SWR. A 1 mA meter is fine for 5 Watts for a little over fsd and potentiometer to reduce it to fsd. I used a diecast aluminium box spray painted black. G4GHB

Yes, the resistive bridge is the savest and most accurate swr meter. Could be better than expensive swr meter.

why is it me, I see transmission line feed-through' T2 connected to earth/ground, this is in all images, maybe I don't understand inductance values, should this be a passive circuit ? could you help me learn a little more ?

is one torroid wound clockwise and the other counter clockwise or both in the same direction?.

See picture start at 0:25. The answer is one toroid is clockwise the 2nd toroid is counter clockwise. Look at the picture orange wire : start arrow, turn 10x arrow & end arrow. I draw the toroid & wire in three dimension. Good luck 🤞

@@gendhengiradio if you burn a PC Network card terminal, and recuperate those small toroids, aren't those good for VHF ? and if they work on VHF, or just on HF, it does not matter, for this second question, as they are small, can be avoided saturation? in what limits of power can they be used?

Untuk QRP Maximum sekitar 100 Watt, tapi sejenak saja dan beri waktu rehat 30 sd 60 detik sebelum tx lagi. Supaya core toroid tidak jenuh dan panas.

@@rebyekkjersey387 1. Kawat sekitar 0.3mm atau 0.2mm 2. Binocular bekas balun antena TV, atau material no. 43. Jika toroid beli yang asli tipe FT50-43 3. Saklar tidak dipakai, indicator meteran yang kanan untuk menunjukkan SWR, yang kiri defleksi jarum distel maximum saat transmit dengan modulasi suara atau CW ( lihat video ). Hanya bisa menunjukkan power relatif saja.

Toroids are FT37 types. The binoculars are from TV antenna balun.
