When this video started I thought: "Hey, this choice of wood will save a lot of time. No cutting and glueing dozens or hundred pieces to make a hollow form!" But you didn't completely renounce your usual practice...And this , by the upper part, gives the piece a special charm. As well as the colour contrast. I like your work very much (and would have liked it even more with the original colours. We talked about this earlier...so you know: no critique intended.) Thank you for sharing. Does Bamboo needs to be dried before turning? Does the vase retain the beauty over time? Beautiful work and Thanks in advance.

Yes, I dried it by storing it in an open room for more than 2 weeks after the bamboo was cut

I couldn't help but notice you glued the wood in the sense the tree grew in (don't know the name in english) but in my gluing class they said to never do that because the wood is drinking the glue like straws and it'll never hold. Is that why you put the clear liquid afterwards? Was that super glue? I am sooo taking a turning class. This is really interesting.

The clear liquid is super glue which is given to glue the torn ends of the wood so that after turning the torn edges of the wood becomes smooth
