You are absolutely right! Painting is a stress reliever! I find when I am uptight or worried about something, I can sit down and paint and by the time I am into my painting, my worries disappear and I am into a zone where I temporarily forget everything that bothers me.

I am so excited since I am in Wisconsin visiting my mom who had another stroke about three weeks back. She is doing well but as a present..since she loves my paintings..I asked her.."Im gonna paint you a picture...a new one..but I want you to pick out what YOU want." She loves flowers (something I haven't EVER painted) and the first video she picked out was YOURS!! She said "oh oh I want that painting right there! so I sat for two nights with her in the living room painting this! Step by step! And boy I was nervous about how it would turn out.and you know what? THE WHOLE family loved it! My sister wants one now to! I love love your videos because you take time to explain and show how to do it. And its not to fast! And good tips like the one about seeing the painting behind the leaves if you have cheaper paint!! Hi Cinnamon, I have been watching you on utube all week. I am very new at this ,I painted my very first picture last week with my grandkids and daughter. Had lots of fun. I have been going through lots of issues with my daughter's,divorce and seeing my grand kids only once a week after taken Care of them for the past 9 years while my daughter works. I really really miss them. So I feel depressed when I think of them and can't see them. My point is, I got interested in painting and not been so depressed. I just bought a few easel s , lots of canvases, liquidated acrylic paint. I'm still waiting for more paint in the mail. I couldn't even draw a stick man, my painting came out pretty good. And thanks to you and your utube painting I'm loving it. You are such a sweet, friendly, positive person.and fabulous artist. I will keep watching you.

Cinnamon I totally want to thank you sooo much. Especially for your comments on those whom are critical of the artwork that one paints. I stopped painting and artwork for such a long time because of negative criticism which often made me feel I was a terrible artist and not good enough. It was a massive blow to my self esteem. Now in my 30's I am finally returning to art because I just love it. I love expressing myself and expressing with color etc. I just love art, it makes me happy and I really enjoy it. So I want to say thank you so so much for instilling confidence in me to return to art and painting. You are such an uplifting and beautiful soul with such a sweet disposition. I love your videos and how you just have so much fun and add an element of vibrancy to art. I am new to painting. Never did it before EVER. I am a grizzled, tough, hard working blue collar slack jawed yockle with big mitts for hands. I suffer from nerve damage from injury and shake a lot. Plus my dad, not to make anyone sad, would have called me gay or a sissy or whatever if he knew I tried art. He is gone now. My therapist, who I go to due to some pretty severe incidents that have happened to my family, suggested I try to paint. I started with Bob Ross style and have 6 or so nature paintings that turned out.....ok. I thought he was it and no need to look at others then I came across you and your style and your paintings. I am overjoyed. You are fun. Your paintings are amazing and colorful. I didn't know how to paint a vase and my sisters been waiting for her painting. I now know how. Thank you. See you next tutorial. I think........I am an ....artist. You know.......I think dad would be proud of me. I'm off to go cry now.
