after seeing the trailer to the parallel cart multi item sorter, I can see why you released this. It is after all, part of that sorter, meaning explaining that will be much simpler when people know how the bouncing mechanics work.

Yeah, usually I try to release a few videos on specific mechanics before I release a big video. This one will has fewer because I plan on doing a more in depth explanation video. Also InspectorTalon wanted to do a video on some of the more intricate workings of minecarts, so I left most of that for him.

I can get the bounce up to work, but I cannot get the bounce over 2 blocks ( that is what it looks like) to work. At most it will only go over one and not that far up. Do you happen to have this in a world download for anyone to test? Oh, and no bonce up in Bedrock at all, this is Java only. Sucks because if your new sorter is using this then it cannot be converted to Bedrock with logic fixes at all.

Yeah, this is used in the new sorter, but it's not essential, just a faster way to move the cart up. I'm sure someone will be able to get a Bedrock version working within a few weeks.

Stuff could be bounced on slime blocks ever since they were added in 1.8

Yes, not sure if it works in bedrock. Suppose it depends if pistons can be powered by the block attached to the head of the piston. In java they can't but instead it fires because of quazi-connectivity.

@@metamilo quasi connectivity doesn’t exist on bedrock so no this design doesn’t work there
