I think I like option 2 on the mantle. They both look nice but I’m a little more into “a lot” at Christmas time. Christmas is the only time I allow myself to go a little over the top.

I liked the second mantle deco best. You have a talent for what I call flair. The decorations were very pretty but I am a traditional Christmas kind of gal. When I see the Christmas trees I remember my childhood of going out to cut the tree (on our own property). I love the Christmas season. Thanks for sharing your home.

Yes, I totally agree! Using what you have and only get a few things if you want. I saved up to buy some new things this year, and I"m so excited about them! Christmas decorating brings me tons of joy!

I love both. in the kitchen. I think minimalist but with twinkly lights for me. I have Fibromyalgia and a list as long as your arm so my goal this year is minimalist but lots of lights. Thank god you are using blue!! My kitchen is in pops of blue w mint/light greens. I agree, I hate green and red, so my kitchen has no red, my main living area is being done w different shades of greens, grays and creams.. I’m trying to not use much red.

I really LOVE your channel. Like the 2nd design on the manteI but think the twinkle lights should be either white or clear rather than gold which is a warm color but you are using cool colors. The mantel is such a focal point and thought it needed more than the first version. Also loved your buffet area. I go all out with red, green and gold decorations. Went to Home Goods yesterday but not the one that is closes to my home. We drove about 35 minutes to a bigger store. WOW, what a BIG difference. So much more Christmas decor than my local store. Two carts full later I was so happy with what I was able to get. My husband came with me and he was actually so much help. He even went to get the second cart. They had a china dessert set in red and white stripes. Oh my gosh, it was so cute. It was like a dream item I would love to display in my china cabinet but knew I shouldn't get it as they were individually priced, i.e. cup and saucer, plates, sugar and coffee creamer, and the tea pot which really would have been expensive. I couldn't believe it when my husband told me to get it. There were enough pieces so we were able to get a set for six. He examined every piece for me. What a great guy. We picked up so many great things that two different customers told us we had the best things in our charts. A lady was even following me to see what I was getting and asked me how I would be decorating with the different pieces. Whew 2 1/2 hours later we were finally ready to check-out. It was so much fun. Next Saturday we're off to At Home which I just found out there is one in my city. I had no idea but someone on You Tube was sharing her gingerbread purchases and I was going to order online and saw that there is one locally. What a surprise. Christmas is our favorite holiday so we cannot wait to start decorating but will be doing Thanksgiving next. Taking down Halloween and transitioning to Thanksgiving decor. Can't wait to finish up my Thanksgiving decor. Sad that so many people just bypass the holiday to transition to Chritmas. Again, love your channel. Praying for both you and Jason. Hope he is feeling well!.
