Sir, In compound sentence we join two simple sentences with coordinating conjunctions . They are For, And, Nor, But, Or,Yet and So ( Popularly called FANBOYS) (You say the connecting words are And, But , Or only.)

This video is for the beginners not knowing even what is main clause and what is subordinate clause ( Kindly cast a glance at the title on the thumbnail). 'For' (meaning 'because') and 'yet' (meaning 'but') are most common only in formal and written contexts. The most common use of 'so' (particularly, by foreign learners) is in the beginning of a sentence, particularly after a full stop. Hence, they are not discussed here at this level in this video.

'Nor' (meaning 'not either') is too formal and hence, not discussed at this level.
