I've been crocheting since 1976, the age of 18. I left the craft for many years. Marriage, kids, other aspects if life took priority. Now 40 something odd years later, my interest for this beautiful hobbies has peaked once again. Thank God for the Tube, such wonderful, excellent tutorials across this platform. You are an exceptional facilitator, thank you for your thorough, specific, simple tutorials. Rarely do I subscribe to anything. Your competent, you have beautiful work, you illustrate well, I'm in!!!!!!

I know this stitch as a “summer afghan” stitch. My absolute favorite for making blankets and scarves. Blanket throws are not too heavy or too hot. The stitch looks like rows of flowers. I love your channel and appreciate how easy it is to follow your instructions. I also love your accent. Had a friend from Liverpool and I love the scouse inflections. He gave me the show Red Dwarf as a way to learn his dialect so I could hear the difference between that and London. You seem like a person we all could sit and have a cup of tea with while crocheting and it would be so comforting ❤️🤗

Hi Rebecca, I've used this stitch for a blanket for my niece. I love the use of the modified foundation stitch at the beginning of a row, it really tidies up the edges. My question is how many stitches would you put into that side stitch? Ordinarily I would put 3 DC's into the 3 chain space but not sure with this as it seems smaller? I'll be using DC's on the first round of the border, followed by 2 round of granny trebles, and a final round of scallops to finish. Thanks, Elizabeth

@BlossomCrochet Hi, Rebeeca! Thanks for sharing another wonderful tutorial. I love how you started the blanket with the row of doubles (sc for me in the US)! Would I also end with a row of doubles to have matching ends? Thanks so much! 🤗😊😍

I absoutely love the trick you use insted of ch3! It's way easier to find that stich an go through it on the next row rather then a ch3 so can I use this trick whenever it's a treble stitch? Love you!
@BlossomCrochet6 жыл бұрын
Hi Sarah, you can use it for a Treble or half Treble 😊 If you need a double crochet height then just stop after the first section.
@cathywillett68255 жыл бұрын
@blossom crochet What border did you use for this? It would be nice if that were included in the video as well.
@BlossomCrochet5 жыл бұрын
Hi Cathy, to be honest, I didn’t get around to bordering it for quite a while but when I did, I went with the Leaning Block Stitch Border which you can find here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mabOqHWvfJZ_eaM You can also see the finished blanket in that video 😊

Hi, I made this pattern with 72 stitches plus 2 and the blanket is curved. I'm on round three. Any suggestions? Thank you!

I would count the number of clusters at the bottom and be sure it's even with the top. Sometimes we skip :)

I really dislike the thinness of a chain 3 when turning. I like to add edging when crocheting a throw/afghan & those darn chain 3s arent always sturdy enough to take an edging. Your adaptation for a chain 3 is easy & easy to remember. Thanks!

Liked ur video very much. I follow several of u gals from the UK. But ,i find that perhaps u need to slow down a bit. And try to speak more clearly. Just some constructive critisim. I loved ur video. But I couldn't understand u. The pattern is gorgeous.

There's this cool button that you can use if shes going too fast for you... its called the PAUSE button. Such a wonderful invention! Also, as an American, I can understand her British accent very well. She speaks pretty clear compared to several others that I've tried following. Just some constructive criticism for YOU 😊✌❤

@@megandwinell3088 Right? I do not think she could talk much clearer or slower and she is very detailed and more than a lot of others on youtube for sure!
