I've made two of these now (in red and pink, one with straps and one without), great tutorial! I'm an E cup and increasing on the 11th loop has worked well for me. If anyone's reading comments before starting this project I would advice to make the back panels pretty small since the lacing takes up a lot of space and it's a stretchy knit! With this pattern itvs better to go too small than too big.

Just finished one and it looks so pretty! But it’s true that it’s better to make the back veery small. I am a 34 DD and increasing on the 10th worked perfect! Loved this tutorial!! 🥰

Hi, I'm fairly new to crochet and I'm interested in this for my first garment.. I'm only halfway through the video and read comments about making the back smaller. What does the back mean, and why smaller? Just curious 😉 I'm a 32D with a petite body frame and I've always been so frustrated with finding tops that fit me decently, so now I'm becoming passionate about making my own clothes (I'm into sewing my cheap thrifty finds into something just for myownself!) and I really am excited about crochet! I do knit a bit but I get so frustrated trying to make garments...the time it takes and/or the devastating mistakes and re-do's, mercy. Thanks for your input, and take care of yourself 🍀

I just finished one and I am OBSESSED with it! I'd definitely wear it to school just if the straps were three finger wide😂😂And just a little tip, always look at mirrors while ur putting the project on ur body to check the length/width. I didn't really look in the mirror, so my back part is a little long and the cross straps don't look as pretty. I still love the result! Thank u soooo much for sharing the video❤❤

Comfy Cotton by Lion Brand makes a great substitute yarn. I'm making one in the Chai Latte color and I'm almost finished with it. It will use less than one cake. I've always thought that it was a little thicker than a three weight and the recommended hook is a six millimeter, so it works out great. Plus its a good summer yarn. I have several cakes that I caught n sale and there was only one so I'm sure I'll be making more for this summer.

Thank you for the tutorial, I managed to make one over two and a half days. The instructions were clear and straight to the point and the pattern itself is great for a beginner like me 👍🏼👍🏼. Sadly I didn't read the pinned comment by janicev8742 so my back panels were too big, making the bottom of my top straight instead of hugging the waist. Would be nice if the number of rows was given for each piece of the top as reference, but overall love it!

Well counting the rows in the pictures it looks like 14 rows for the front and 14 rows per side. So total of 32 rows for whole the top. 10 rows in between front straps and count 10 rows under arms for back straps.

I believe that by measuring the person that the piece will be designated will help. The video is just a reference and the rest it’s left to our imagination. I would not use yarn for this project if the piece looks like a summer attire, I would find a #2 or #3 cotton

You always make that increase in the same stitch from the top? For mine I’m planning on doing increase in 11th stitch from top like the pinned comment says. So every time it is increased it would be the 11th stitch from the top right?

I would suggest holding it up and lightly stretching it as you go...this fabric is verrry stretchy and the one I made for my daughter who is a 34 " bust fits me and Im a 38"...fits her with no stretch but looks a bit better stretched a bit.
